While the provider was not overtly rude/nasty, I had the feeling that she could literally not care less about my well being. I understand that, at the end of the day, this is a job, and she is there to get paid and not to become best friends with her patients, but a modicum of empathy could go a long way.
Perhaps this is not her fault, it could be due to the way you handle billing in an overly profit driven environment, but I was also met with resistance because I had the audacity to have multiple physical ailments. Both my pectoral/shoulder region as well as my knee were in pain, but the provider made it clear that the appointment was only supposed to be either or.

Dr. MacKenzie was my Internist for my left knee surgery last year. I specifically requested that he be my Internist for my upcoming right knee surgery.

I had a great appointment with Chris Page. He listened to everything I said and provided detailed explanations about his diagnosis.

I have been most fortunate that Dr. Yee has been my primary physician for well over 20 years. Dr. Yee listens to whatever I tell him, he explains in the most understandable way and either remembers or will check my records to make certain of things.
In addition Dr. Yee is just a really nice, concerned and caring person.

He was extremely thorough and outlined the plan that would hopefully lead to a diagnosis. He made it clear that if those didn’t get us an answer, he had another path before we talked to a surgeon. Because my issue is in my upper neck accompanied by acute pain, the detailed plan gave me great peace of mind.

I thought the staff, specifically, were so professional, knowledgeable, polite and kind. It was a pleasure. I even had an HSS employee who didn’t work at that location offer to help me find the exit. They were just terrific.

Both Dr. Cunningham and his PA Brenda were outstanding. They assessed my issues, reviewed the MRI images and discussed my course of treatment other than surgery.

The changing room in radiology was especially comfortable, pleasing and well-thought out design. This is not neglible but these details enhance calmness and sense of well-being. The bathroom facilities were similarly comfortable. Again, this is as important as the quality of the clinical care. Thank you.
