Dr. Sama is the most outstanding physician in any specialty I've ever encountered. He is patient, courteous, explains everything in a complete and understandable way. I recommend him constantly.

Dr Sama has performed four knee surgeries, two with HSS and two prior. He is the best and I only regret that I have to break something to see him. He's amazing.

Dr. Sama explained to me that the treatment of using Prednisone over a shot would help alleviate two problems, my right shoulder, as well as my sciatica problem. He prescribed the Prednisone. I have been taking the medicine since Friday, and I am feeling better, both in my shoulder and lower back.

Dr. Sama is really pleasant to work with and very very knowledgeable. I always feel safer health wise after consulting with him. He’s a surgeon but I never feel that he’s rushing to operate. Kudos to him.

Dr. Sama is among the best physicians I have encountered in terms of knowledge, preparation, patience, ability to explain in clear terms the situation, candidly outline alternatives and the pluses and minuses of each, his availability and attention to my situation and proactivity in addressing next steps. His staff, including assistant Donna, are first rate.

Dr. Sama is the epitome of an excellent doctor! I trust his judgement and expertise in every area. He listens with an open mind and helps me to make wise judgments about my health. Clear explanations, broken down into understandable language for the patient, are a mainstay of his care. HSS is fortunate to have Dr. Sama on staff and I am grateful to be his patient.
