Dr. Gausden replaced my right hip two years ago and I was initially terrified to have the procedure. She made is simple and as easy as possible for me with minimal pain and a truly speedy recovery. The same is fast becoming true for my left hip, which Dr. Gausden replaced two weeks ago. She and her team are the absolute best.

My experience at HSS as a whole is always top notch. From the moment you walk in the front doors of the hospital, every person treats you with courtesy, professionalism and efficiency. Specifically at Dr. Gausden's office you can add personable, understanding and supportive. Dr. Gausden's exceptional skill as a surgeon is matched by her deep expression of care for her patient, and mirrored in her immediate support staff.

Dr Gausden spoke with me before the surgery and answered any additional questions that I had. She also came to my room to see how I was feeling.

Everyone in the facility from the security to the dr. make you feel at ease. You come in for a appt. Nervous or scared about what they gonna hear at a appt. And they make you feel calm being nice.

Already provided in previous question. In addition, I chose her because I knew she was a specialist with women with bone density issues. Indeed, she did need to use a specific bone supportive cage on my femur due to osteopenia. She was amazing from beginning to end. I will recommend her to others in need of THR or TKR.

I would rate Dr. Gausden higher than a mere 5, she's an 11 at least on this scale. Outstanding professional pre, during and post surgery. Perfect "bedside manner" i.e., positive before and after, encouraging about recovery..

Good physicians don't have to broadcast their expertise. It was easy to appreciate Dr Gausden's ability by her quiet confidence she had in her explanations and answers to our questions.

Dr Gausden and her staff are exceptional in every way. First Dr. Gausden is absolutely an amazing surgeon. She is so confident in her expertise that it just made me feel confident in doing the surgery which came out very good. I feel so much better after the surgery. 2nd as busy as she is, she takes the time you need to talk to her like a true friend and answer any questions you have. I would have to say she is better than very good. Her staff has been wonderful as well. My calls are always returned and questions answered. Everyone is very polite and helpful. I have often recommended Dr. Gausden at HSS to everyone I meet who has hip pain and curious of who to go to.
