As a recent transplant to the area from Boston, I was blown away by the efficiency of this office. Within about an hour, I had a physical exam, X-ray, X-rays explained, prognosis and pr program. This would have required weeks and a number of visits in Boston at Atrius.

Only concerning aspect was that I was prescribed medication that was not appropriate given that I have a form of leukemia. After reading the paperwork from the pharmacy, I checked with my hematologist, who advised me to NOT take the medication. I did mention at the start of this visit that I have leukemia. The doctor asked if I have allergies to medication - which I do not - but the doctor failed to check to see if I had any existing medical issues that would clash with her suggested prescription. I wish she checked ...

I had an excellent experience from start to finish. The PA that I saw explained things very thoroughly and answered my questions completely. The only thing I didn't like is the dozens of documents I need to complete before my appointment. Very intense.

F. Mingrone was my medical expert and adviser. In all respects, she was most competent with a most pleasant personality. She carefully listen to my challenge in exactly pinpointing as to where my right upper arm/right shoulder discomfort was (without acute pain). In an expert manner, she proceeded with various physical and arm movement tests to learn more. I particularly appreciated that she had picked up on my feedback that I had no discomfort as to bones and joints but was less certain about muscles and, especially, tendons. Her diagnosis was well stated, to the point, including advisable next steps (i.e. some physical therapy).
I am impressed with the quality and precision of her assistance - thank you.

Great experience: timely reception, minimal waiting, professional staff from front desk checkout. One of the best medical facilities I've ever visited.

Felicia carefully reviewed my x-rays with me and showed how the bones were intact without any breaks. She also showed me traces of arthritis at the base of my thumb which I did not previously know about and explained how that might evolve and that HSS has some treatments for it.

From the moment I walked into HSS Stamford, the experience felt less like a medical visit and more like being guided back onto the right path by a team that truly cares.
Felicia Mingrone, PA-C, was exceptional. Her knowledge wasn’t just impressive, it was reassuring. She took the time to explain everything in a way that made sense, pairing clinical expertise with genuine compassion. You can tell she’s invested in getting her patients not just “treated,” but truly better. I left feeling informed, confident, and honestly… hopeful.
Anne [last name], MA, who roomed me, set the tone right away. She was warm, attentive, and made what can sometimes feel like a stressful process feel easy and comfortable. It’s those first interactions that shape the whole visit, and she nailed it.
A big thank you as well to Chanel [last name] at registration for making check-in smooth and welcoming. No friction, no confusion, just kindness and efficiency working together like a well-oiled machine.
And Janine from X-ray deserves a spotlight too. She made the imaging process quick, easy, and surprisingly enjoyable, while still being incredibly thorough. You can tell she takes pride in getting things just right.
Altogether, this team turned what could’ve been just another appointment into a genuinely positive experience. I walked out feeling taken care of from start to finish. 10/10 across the board.

This was my first experience with HSS Now and I was very happy with it. My physicians assistant was extremely friendly and kind and a good listener. She ordered x-rays and they happen quickly and she reviewed the results with me right after that. I was very satisfied because we made a plan for the current situation and a plan if things do not resolve in a month.
This is great to have HSS Now because they online appointment scheduling for the doctor I have usually seen for a situation of a new problem is about six weeks.
