This was my first time seeing Dr. Mabry at this location. I arrived at 10:45 for an 11:00 X-Ray appt. and an 11:30 appt. to see the Dr. At 12:30 Dr. Mabry came to the waiting room door and called back 3 people whose appointments were after mine. I went to the door and told him how long I had been there. He told me to give him a few minutes to get me a room. Ten minutes later he called me back. I left the office at 1:05 and had to be back in Alexandria (an hour and 15 minutes away) to pick up grandchildren from school by 2:30. So we didn't get to eat lunch. I have NEVER waited that long at the Highlands
Yea I was told I was getting a doctor that did total lumbar disc replacements so I took off an entire day of work and drove over 3 hours to come to this appt and I was looking for to it for months hoping to get some relief finally! And it was a total waste of my time and gas money and lack of work earnings. He does not perform disc replacements. I never would have scheduled had I been told this correctly from the beginning.
Dr. Brabston is hands down the best shoulder surgeon. I'm very thankful he was able to do complete reverse shoulder replacement and give me back my range of motion following a life changing accident.
We did have to wait in exam room but it was not unusually long. And we wanted to see Dr. Rajaram for as long as we had questions and not feel rushed. We understand that sometimes unexpected things happen and schedules may not run on time. We had all our questions answered and felt well cared for.
I saw the nurse practitioner, Alyssa Rice for a shoulder assessment and she was able to call to Sports Medicine to work me in for an injection during this visit. A short wait and avoided another trip. Both areas, efficient, clean, friendly staff.
Dr. Gould is very personal, decisive, and explained things well. I left with options for treatment and communicated to the healthcare professional that is helping me PT
We sat and waited 4 1/2 hours and the doctor came in and he didn't even see us but 2 minutes and I don't even feel like he looked at any of my paperwork or my MRI, I feel like it was a complete waste of a trip and I was not satisfied at all with the staff or the doctor. Yes he was running behind, but he should have gave me the same courtesy I gave him period. I wouldn't use your hospital again. I would rather go out of state than come back there.
Dr. Johnson has been a great provider. I trust him and he has provided great care. The only downside to Highlands Orthopedic Clinic is the wait time can be long and it is not always very easy to talk to a nurse or doctor between appointments.
