Yesterday was my one year anniversary since having my rotator cuff surgery. I can say that my care from Dr. Momaya's office and from my physical therapists have been second to none. I am very pleased.

I was seen quickly as a “walk-in” first time patient. Everyone was friendly and pleasant to work with. My medical team worked efficiently to evaluate and treat my knee.

The LPN/RN had an energy and a face of, "You are the last patient of the day. I could care less. I'm ready to leave." She also hovered over the receptionist, an older lady. The poor lady had to tell her to 'back off and give her space." I'm paraphrasing, but it was close to that. The LPN/RN or med assistant, whatever she was, then rolled her eyes. I was hoping Dr. Momaya would have less of a "these are the facts" energy and more of a "I'm so sorry for everything you've been through" energy. It seems that even at UAB, fee for service still wins in the end.

All the staff were extremely nice and helpful and explained everything to me in detail. They made me feel a lot more comfortable and a lot less scared for my procedure.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Dr. Momaya is awesome! He's very knowledgeable, professional, thorough, and people oriented. He has great bedside manner and really cares about his patients.

It was not the visit, that was fine. However the doctortor's order of an MRI of my right ankle has been not followed. I have received several contacts for UAB that indicate my MRI is for my left knee or left ankle. I have emailed via the portal and talked w/ somoni in the clinic to correct and I'm still getting a portal massage saying this Friday's MRI is for my Left Knee. I'm frustrated by the lack of communication on UAB's end.

I had to wait in the examination room for one HOUR. When the doctor did arrive, The doctor was very rushed, preoccupied, and in a hurry. Did not take time for me to ask questions? Which is very unusual for him. I am just worried I did not get the complete care that I should have.

Seamless! Easy scheduling, helpful check-in experience, excellent care. My previous surgeons had departed UAB, and I was nervous about my new care team. Dr. Momaya was friendly, supportive and kind. Nurse Alexander in pre-op was very caring and compassionate. He made sure I was comfortable and didn't feel any pain during the Nerve Block. He went above and beyond to help me stay calm and lower my anxiety.

I arrived 5-10min before appt. Lady at the counter was attentive and friendly. Short wait in waiting room. Got to see Dr Momaya without a crew of medical students and residents. And was done with appointment in 30 min. Very efficient process
