Thanks to Dr. Johnson and staff for their excellent care during the past 3+ years following an automobile accident. I will be forever grateful for being his patient and will recommend UAB Highlands Orthopedic Clinic to friends and family that are in need of orthopedic care❤️

Dr. Michael Johnson is not just a great surgeon but has an amazing bed side manner. He wasn't rushed, took the time to answer and explain all the questions I had, as if he were speaking to a family member, quite impressive.

The staff is friendly and waste no time getting you checked in and out. The Doctors take their time to listen to your issues and give their honest opinions about the situation.

It is always comfortable, not overcrowded. Efficient. You don't have to wait long. Dr. Johnson is a great Dr and the nurses, assistant s, residents, interns, all staff very friendly.

We waited around for a very long time in 2 different waiting rooms. Then a doctor (I think) looked at my husbands ankle and manipulated it a lot and then left for another very lengthy time. FINALLY, the surgeon came in and manipulated my husband’s ankle again and eventually explained what was going on with my husband’s ankle. The explanation was abrupt and not something we understood very well. We tried to ask questions, but the answers were not ones we could understand. The 2 doctors seemed to understand each other, but we felt in the dark. We were told we needed a referral but that he (the surgeon) didn’t know of a doctor in our area. So, we were sent on our way, confused and on our own.
