Took the time to explain my condition, including the staging. Took the time to go over why it occurs and disease management. Reviewed medication that have been tried and medication we can try in the future. Talked about exercise and diet management. Talk about the type of procedures that cold be tried for symptom management.

My Dr visit went well. I did however again have to wait quite a while to be seen. Total time at this appointment was over 2 hours. I think staff passing by continually while seeing me wait during this time period, should have at least made eye contact with me and recognized the fact that I was still sitting there as the rest of the waiting area was emptying out. I truly though I had been forgotten about.

Dr. Katie was so friendly and welcoming that it didn't feel like it was the first contact we've had, but like we were old friends. She was so thorough, curious and friendly. And, like I said earlier, Dr. Katie is amazing!

As a first-time patient, I was very impressed with Dr Shahed Y Ghoghawala, especially the excellent questions he asked, the ease of communication between doctor and patient, the time he took to understand my eye condition, and the solutions he provided (both verbal and medications). Also, the new SSM ophthalmology facility is great 👍
