Visit started out well. He was very personable. As it went on, and not really his fault. I guess, I could tell he knew nothing about me and hadn't read any information about me prior to coming into the room. Issues that were no longer an issue and haven't been for 20 years or more. Although it seemed as though he was listening to me, he would often talk over me after asking me a question after I gave him an answer. Like he was taking over the conversation. He was right. I was wrong. That's just how it felt. It seemed as though we dwelled on a couple issues at the beginning of the visit so I was not able to cover everything that I wanted to cover during this visit as after about 30 to 45 minutes went by. It kind of seemed like I was being rushed out of there. Which I kind of didn't understand because when I made the appointment I explained quite clearly why I wanted to go there. Indicating that I would probably need a longer appointment. All in all I am happy we covered the things that we talked about, but I really wanted to include a few more issues that I've been having for some time.

I've been seeing Dr. McKenna for about a decade and he is the best of the best. He understands that in a perfect world, 80% health could be improved with diet and exercise and encourages me to focus on those things. He's also wise enough to know we don't live in a perfect world. I feel like there is a lot of trust between us as well. I read a lot and do a lot of research and introspection before my appointments. When I come in what I'm really looking for is a "health consultant" that guides and directs and help. John provides that and I feel like I'm healthier than I've ever been thanks in part to his care.

Doctor Mckenna is a very thoughtful and caring doctor. He listened to my concerns and gave me options on what I could do. There was no pleasure on doing something I didn't want to do.
