Dr. Polifka was knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and discussed options for relieving chronic lower back pain that has occurred since my L5-S1 fusion in 2022. He has a great ‘ bedside manner’ and was thoughtful in his assessment and recommendations. I would recommend him for anyone seeking a consultation and surgery if deemed necessary.

When you come face to face with excellence, you are pleased to write about your experience and share your feedback. Dr. [last name] and Dr. Sauvageau are a very rare breed. They boith have set the bar so high - I doubt one could find more excellent physicians. Filled wiith - not only professional excellence, but with authentic compassion, listening skills and knowledge that 'tips the bar' way over the excellence meter. They allowed me to "breathe again' as I was explaining my condition and they were both presenting clear, calm (and compassionate) options for me. In this time of rare chaos in the world, they brought the discussion down to a personal level and 'everything stopped' as they gave me time to talk and to LISTEN to their sage advice. Once again, how do I say "MAHALO" (thank yoiu) for redefining the world of medicine so it becomes personal and understandable as they remove 'the fear' and clearly explain the options.

The doctor treated me with empathy. Yet he told me bad news. He was direct and explained things. He answered all of my questions and then provided his medical expert opinion on a surgery I may not survive. I appreciate how he handled it with me.
