Tera [last name] MA is extremely helpful and put me at ease before meeting with the Neurosurgeon. Dr. Polifka interpreted my MRI which indicated a ruptured disc, compressing the nerve. He answered all my questions for over an hour, was very patient, professional and knowledgeable, providing me with both conservative and surgical options to resolve the issue of sciatic pain. I have complete confidence in Dr. Polifka and would not hesitate to contact him should I decide to pursue the surgical option.

The whole team is great from receptionist to surgeon and everyone in between. Each person heard every concern and every concern was addressed. I needed paperwork for work filled out. Everything was filled out in a timely fashion. I had specific preferences for my treatment and the doctor tailored the treatment to fit my personal experience. I saw Dr. Polifka for the first time a couple weeks ago and he was very nice and answered all of my questions and I did not feel rushed. His medical assistant Tera was also very pleasant and always returned my calls or messages in the patient portal in a timely manner. The doctor ordered a few x-rays which were done downstairs in the imaging office and also a couple of CT images which had to be approved by my insurance and I had them completed last week, just waiting on a follow up now that they are complete. I am really hoping he finds a solution for the problems I am having with my spine for quite a few years now.
