Dr. Polifka was knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and discussed options for relieving chronic lower back pain that has occurred since my L5-S1 fusion in 2022. He has a great ‘ bedside manner’ and was thoughtful in his assessment and recommendations. I would recommend him for anyone seeking a consultation and surgery if deemed necessary.

I was referred to Dr Polifka Lyerly Neurosurgery from Dr [last name] Jax Spine and Pain, Fernandina Beach office. After trying MILD, epidural injections, pain medication etc Dr Polifka has explained that XLIF surgery is a procedure that will help me get my back/hip/leg pain under control so that I can resume an active lifestyle. Dr Polifka is down to earth, takes the time to explain details and has years of experience treating spine problems.

Everything from the time I arrived and by the time I left the office. The sign in process was seamless and professional. They had all my information which impressed me. The MA was kind and professional. Dr. Polifka was organized, you cou tell he read my history and reports prior to my visit. He too was professional, kind and very knowledgeable about my situation. And lastly I met with Cendy the scheduler. And like all the others she was kind and respectful and took care of getting my pre-op testing taken care of. I highly recommend this group. Also, it was so easy for me to get an appointment right away!

I was referred to Dr Polifka by my pain management physician. Dr Polifka examined me, explained the situation to me using the mri results. The images were on a screen where he pointed out the issues in my spine. He also explained the recommended treatment and the likely outcome. It is important to have confidence in a physician when surgery is likely and Dr Polifka seems highly qualified and has years of experience in his field of neurology. I would also like to compliment the front desk/ phone team. They were patient with me, giving me directions to Lyerly's new location several times. They were also very friendly upon check in for my appointment.
