This was my first visit with Ken VanSumeren, and was impressed with his professionalism and caring attitude toward me. Additionally he ordered blood work and for the first time ever at Mid-Michigan I was contacted immediately with the results.

Dr Houston has been our primary physician for 25 years. She agreed to be our doctor in [YEAR] when we moved from [CITY] to Sanford. She always along with her assistant Rachel were available to address ANY and all concerns we had all of those precious years no matter if it was an online question or an office visit. She took excellent care of my husband and myself all of those years! She even agreed to see my [AGE] year old father when she could have easily declined! Sadly we are loosing her and her assistant because of the ridiculous rules now that limit her ability to do her job. She is too caring of a physician to be forced to do her job in a 20 minute time restraint just for making the almighty dollar! MidMichigan in general should be ashamed of themselves for putting profit before care!

She is an excellent Dr. it’s a shame she had to work under the new rules…. That’s why she is retiring. The numbers people shouldn’t be able to tell our Dr how to run her practice. We hate the new rules about appointments and what we can talk to our Dr about. The idea that if we have 2 questions about our health we have to schedule 2 appointments is a very dumb idea and we hope someone with some compassion will change the rule…..

Wonderful doctor. Length of appointments was frustrating. I felt rushed most of the time. That is the one thing that makes me wish she was allowed to take time with the patient and not be on a treadmill.

My experience with Ken, over a number of years, has really been excellent.. I have an underlying issue with Parkinsons and while Ken helps me navigate through various issues with different systems that come up from time to time he also provides objective guidance relative to my Parkinson’s disease, on an ongoing basis
