I have been a patient of Dr. Houston for a long time. She has been an excellent doctor. She provides exceptional care and refers as needed based on the decision that is discussed in the appointment. I am saddened that she is retiring and it will be hard to fill her role.

Dr Houston has been amazing. I have felt that she often has to rush to keep the schedule but tries her best to accommodate with the restrictions for patient care that the facility has . Luckily I am young enough to know that I need to be quick and treat this almost like ordering fast food due to these conditions. Feel sorry for those who may not be and I would never send my parents alone to a mid mi physician appt for fear they would be bowled over with no true patient care.

Dr. Houston is the whole package. She takes her time to really listen. She has my health and well-being first and for most in her taking care of me. I am NOT a number!!! That seems to be what the Midland hospital is going to. So sad as it use to be the crown jewel of hospitals. The main reason I stayed in Midland. Not anymore.

..Dr Houston has always been on top my conditions, and has a broad knowledge of parameters and scope of treatments.. as we all age, i know some day She will retire, Whenever that occurs, i assume the administration has the foresight to bring in the replacement in time to be briefed by Dr Houston, on her cases, and all Dr's patients notified Long before any Retirement takes place. that's just a No Brainer, unless you are looking to have patients going elsewhere...

My wife and I have appreciated the care, knowledge and professionalism of Dr. Houston and her coworkers that we have received over the last few years. We are wishing that she would continue to stay at her job in Midland caring for us, along with her other patients. What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
Dr Houston is an excellent physician! I am sad she is leaving the practice! I wish Mi Michigan had not put such difficult restrictions on things like how long the doctor can spend per patient! There is so much paper work and areas needing attention in a Medicare wellness exam. MiMichigan seems to be encouraging the doctor to cut corners which is a risk for patients.

I am extremely sad that Doctor Houston is retiring. This is years earlier than it should be happening. There is going to be a lack of quality doctors in Midland due to poor administrative decisions regarding patient care.

Dr Houston has been our primary physician for 25 years. She agreed to be our doctor in [YEAR] when we moved from [CITY] to Sanford. She always along with her assistant Rachel were available to address ANY and all concerns we had all of those precious years no matter if it was an online question or an office visit. She took excellent care of my husband and myself all of those years! She even agreed to see my [AGE] year old father when she could have easily declined! Sadly we are loosing her and her assistant because of the ridiculous rules now that limit her ability to do her job. She is too caring of a physician to be forced to do her job in a 20 minute time restraint just for making the almighty dollar! MidMichigan in general should be ashamed of themselves for putting profit before care!

She is an excellent Dr. it’s a shame she had to work under the new rules…. That’s why she is retiring. The numbers people shouldn’t be able to tell our Dr how to run her practice. We hate the new rules about appointments and what we can talk to our Dr about. The idea that if we have 2 questions about our health we have to schedule 2 appointments is a very dumb idea and we hope someone with some compassion will change the rule…..
