I just spent four nights at Baptist Health downtown and had a heart valve and a pacemaker put in and can’t express how much I appreciated the wonderful service from the nurses and Doctors that treated me. Dr [last name] and her heart staff (heart valve) Dr Austin and his staff (pacemaker) Nursing staff (Rachel, Denice, Taylor, Ashley and their staffs) Wonderful attitude and treatment to me. Please thank them for me, made my time there a pleasant experience during a trying time.

Everyone at Baptist from Doctors to custodians are very friendly and want to help in anyway they can to make our stay as comfortable and as successful as possible. I have been a patient since 1997. I wouldn’t want to trust anyone else with my cardiac issues. I will continue to drive the 2 1/2 hours one way to Baptist!

Listens attentively and formulates treatment plans that involve the patient’s input. He had reviewed my records prior to our visit and was familiar with my previous treatments and interventions and had formulated multiple treatment options that he might pursue depending upon additional information that I provided to him during our face-to-face visit. As a result our visit was focused and very productive. I know that he is busy but he was not rushed during our visit and he spent the time necessary for us to be on the same page. His demeanor was confident, reassuring, and very pleasant without even the least hint of arrogance. What a refreshing visit.

I really loved all the team that worked with me. I was very nervous, but my primary caregiver nurse, Maria, was terrific. She was kind, supportive, and caring. Rochelle was also very sweet all things given (and my tremendous embarrassment). Dr Austin was also kind, supportive, and took his time explaining the procedure, both in the office prior to scheduling, as well as day of. The entire team was just fantastic and I cannot thank, and compliment, them enough.
