Dr Lehmen is a great surgeon but it seems he thinks it’s not important to have good communication. He doesn’t clearly and specifically give good directions for his prescriptions and treatment. For example when I went to see him 8 weeks after my surgery, I was wearing the Velcro brace that he told me to wear. He asked me “who told you to wear that brace you are only supposed to wear it 3 weeks” I said you told me to wear 24/7. However, he didn’t tell or provide written instructions on how long to wear it! Also, he put restrictions on for no bending, twisting or lifting more than 10 lbs., but didn’t tell how long to abide by the restrictions, nor did he tell me how long to take particular prescriptions, pregabalin, Cyclobenzaprine.
