Dr Paynter is a great family dr and has been wonderful to us. However, my last visit was very rushed and I don't feel that we spent sufficient time discussing my medications which is the reason I came to see him. In fairness, I should add that my appointment was scheduled close to his lunch hour. His med student was there that day. Next time I will ask to see Dr Paynter rather than the student performing the visit.

I thought Dr. Paynter was great! Since I was a previous patient at SSM Hospital, I decided to do research of the clinic at Tipton. I came to the clinic to get to know the doctor and staff. Since my past health history, it has been a concern for me to select either a doctor or a nurse practitioner, I chose Dr. Paynter. To be honest I have never been a fan of nurse practitioners but if a doctor is not available, I will see a nurse practitioner.

Unfortunately Dr Paynter is overworked and needs another doctor or nurse practitioner to assist in the workload. Oftentimes when we are sick and need a quick appointment we are not able to get in timely. This should not happen to established patients. However, I have always felt him has given ample time during my appointment and we would hate to lose him.
