I’m very disappointed with the service from the Chesapeake Bowie location on two separate occasions. In January, I was scheduled for a PET scan. Because I have one fragile vein, I called to inform them and ask for someone who is very good with fragile veins. The lady informed me they are all very experienced with fragile veins. This was the same lady who ended up sticking me four times: twice in the same vein, once in my wrist and once in my hand. That wasn’t enough! She was nervous, in a hurry, and caused my veins to shut down. Today, June 20, 2024, I went for a CAT scan of my chest to follow up on a nodule that was detected earlier. My doctors order asked that this scan be compared with the PET scan and another CAT scan by American Radiology in April. I took the disk with me and the receptionist uploaded it. After driving almost 40 miles each way, I got a text asking me to bring the disk back because it didn’t upload. The supervisors and manager left a young girl to relay this information who couldn’t answer any questions. This is bad business. They didn’t offer to reimburse me with gas expenses for my 70 mile round trip. I want to hear from someone in the main office about this mix up.

Very positive experience

I've come to this location several times, but this visit made me upset. I came in the week before to get the MRI done, but wasn't able to. So the receptionist made the appointment and then wrote down the time on my referral. Appointment time written out was 11:30, so I arrived at 10:50 (please keep this in mind). When I arrived the receptionist said all I needed to do was sign my check-in forms. So I'm sitting and waiting and 11:30 comes and goes...12:30 arrives and I asked the other receptionist were the techs running behind because I'd been waiting since 10:50. They said no, she called back to the MRI desk and was told that I was late for my appointment so the other people were taken and asked did I want to reschedule my appointment - ABSOLUTELY NOT!! I've waited all this time, someone WILL take me. The tech came out and said that she would fit me in as soon as she could (wish I truly appreciated) but not one time during my "Check-In" did the receptionist mention that I had arrived late. I showed them what was written on my paper and that' was the time of my appointment. Luckily I only had to wait another 10mins before being seen. But that whole appointment should not have gone on as long as it did, especially if the FIRST receptionist had done her job correctly to begin with! Now will I return to this location, probably not!

The atmosphere is cool and they were very professional and caring.

My visit to this location went very well. The staff was wonderful so was the tech that did the MRI. No issues there but I was told that the doctor she have the results that day but because it was Friday Afternoon they possibly won't be able to tell me until the following week. Called my doctor's office on Monday and wasn't in my file yet. Called again this morning and was told it takes 3 business days for the doctor to get the results. Wish I had been told that after the MRI. But would still recommend. Just be aware it takes 3 business days. The doctor doesn't get the results right away. The process was great and no long wait time..

I have gone to Dr. Joe before he started his own practice. As always Dr. Joe is wonderful. He is understanding and very knowledgeable to any physical issues you may have. Works with you in providing the types of exercises you should do after the adjustments of course. Like school its homework and if you want to feel better, you have to put in the work. As I said Dr. Joe is wonderful, I do not mind driving from a distance it’s worth it!!
