Not much of a “bedside manner”. First time ever having an MRI done. Not explained completely nor much reassurance given. You’re pretty much “a number”.

I don't ever write reviews unless it's in support of a small business but I am so grateful for the care I recieved at CMI (defense hwy) that I felt I needed to share. It's a bit of a long story but I feel the details are helpful to know...I had an ultrasound as a second opinion for a potential blood clot. I have a personal history of a superficial blood clot along with 2 clotting disorders, family history of deep vein thrombosis, and I just underwent a surgery the week prior. Despite being on blood thinners and wearing compression socks, I started to have leg pain that was exactly like when I experienced my clot. My hematologist was able to get me in for an ultrasound with another company earlier in the day. The sonographer at that location was extremely dismissive and put-down my previous treatment of a blood clot because it was superficial and not deep despite me expanding on my medical history and the fact that this has been causing infertility issues and recurrent pregnancy loss so while I may not be the typical blood clot patient, I have multiple red flags and have had years of medical treatment where multiple issues have been found but only after repeated issues. It is very distressing for medical professionals to not listen to you as a patient. When I shared my experience about the first imaging company to my hematologist, they arranged a second ultrasound, this time at CMI. Kelly happened to be my sonographer at CMI and I informed her that I had a bit of a story and even broke down and cried explaining myself. Kelly was incredibly kind and compassionate. She listened to everything I had to say and was very supportive of the need to be heard as a patient. Kelly was extremely thorough and not only performed the typical imaging when ultrasounding for a blood clot but additional imaging in the areas I had vein pain and where my previous blood clot had been since it wasn't in the common location of blood clots. She explained what she was doing and what she was seeing. She confirmed that I was doing all the right things to care and advocate for myself. And thankfully, while I did not have a blood clot, Kelly was able to give several different reasons why I may be experiencing vein pain similar to a blood clot and how ruling out the clot may help direct my doctors further work-up of me. This is exactly what I needed. To be heard, appropriately examined and then given education about my situation so I wasn't left feeling ignored and frightened. I am extremely exhausted at being on the wrong side of medical statistics and am so appreciative of the care Kelly provided.

The technician setting me up for, and running the MRI was wonderful!! Not having had an MRI before I definitely had anxiety about the whole process… She was so friendly, upbeat, had a great sense of humor and was very knowledgeable.

I did a walk-in and for an x-ray. The front desk staff were friendly and very efficient. The techs had me in and out in record time. I have used their services once or twice before and found the same smiling and business-like staff. The owners need to redecorate the premises so that their lovely staff have a more attractive place in which to work.

Staff as always, AMAZING. All were professional & (so important) empathetic. Only complaint. I am in wheelchair & being pushed UP a cement ramp and automatic door was broken, both entrance & exit with no “Out of Order sign”. My experience as far as my MRI was seamless. Thank you all, it made all the difference in my day.

This is the first time I was not uncomfortable during a mammogram both physically or emotionally. The tech was SO nice and explained everything and even showed me my films pointing out what was tissue, muscle, fiber, and the importance of 3D and regular view. I then went to ultra sound for a pelvic. Very quick, friendly, put me at ease. They fit me in despite being VERY busy on one days notice.

I have been going to Chesapeake Medical Imaging - Defense Highway, Annapolis for many years. My experiences have always been a 4 or 5. The staff was always courteous and genuinely helpful. But my experience today was so out of the range of my prior experiences, that I had to write this review. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful as always. But when the tech called my name, I could tell something was different. Yes, my mammogram appointment was at 5:20 PM, so it may have been the end of her shift. But she was so cold and almost hostile in giving me instructions. I know this procedure is painful but this time it was more painful than ever. The tech kept having to repeat the test. Finally she told me to sit in a chair so the machine could get a better image. But when the plate cam to me, it hit me hard in the chin. No apologies. No words of comfort. The whole time, the tech was cold, distant and uncaring. I have had open heart surgery and have had this test many times. I know pain and am familiar with the pain associated with mammograms. But, this time the pain was at a higher level than any of my prior experiences. The tech kept repeating the procedure with more pain each time. I fear she may have been new, poorly trained or just tired. But the testing process combined with her cold, uncaring attitude made my experience one that I will do whatever it takes to avoid in the future. My hiusband wrote this review for me.

Upon entering the medical center I asked the lady before my x-rays were taken how long would it be before I got the results she said usually within a couple of hours, I said wonderful they go directly to my doctor and email me a copy to confirm and she said there's no problem at all, I waited for 2 days still no x-ray reports at all I called the office only to hear the song and dance that they were backed up in Reading images that it should be tomorrow quote on quote what the receptionist said that I should have it and also my doctor. That day came and went I still don't have the X-ray copies today is a Saturday now I'm told I'm probably going to have to wait until Monday most likely. Kind of very disappointed in this imaging place to be honest with you that's why I only gave it three stars, so I recommend if you want x-rays fast probably get them taken somewheres else

The nurse who assisted in getting my x-rays done Was exceptional. She was conscious of the pain I was in and tried to make it as comfortable as possible. I would give this business a 5 star rating.

My appointment was on time. I was called back and greeted warmly. My Dexa Scan took maybe 5 minutes and I was walked to the exit by the technician. I wish every medical facility worked like this!

I had 3 medical test back to back. Everything ran on time. Technicians were fabulous and I was out in a bit over an hour. A friendly, efficient environment goes a long way in my book. I will always use them as my go to for imaging.
