Dr. Shaker took great care to get updated on my health and recent events. He asked great questions about my medications and took time to answer my questions thoughtfully. He was careful to express his desire to help me with next steps going forward. I was very pleased with this visit. (And his staff is always really helpful when I contact them via mychart.)

Dr. Price was More explainable then Dr. Foley ever was and she was so helpful with issues that we were going through. And believe me we were going through some major issues and she helped put a period on them gave me resources to get me through and the patient for the help I needed as a caregiver. Susan Price and her staff are rock stars to this caregiver and patient.

I have waited to go to Neurology again after my last experience with a different office and was nervous. After leaving yesterday I’m not nervous, I’m hopeful I’m going to get better! He had answered so many questions that we had but I didn’t have to ask because he took the time to care about me and educate that the answers were there already. I can’t begin to tell you how impressed I am with the time he took, the empathy he gave, and the reassurance he wants to help me get better. I was not just a number to him I was someone he wants to heal and help get back to a normal life. He didn’t look at me strange for wanting to try to heal myself at the beginning with exercise and diet changes and no medications. He was understanding and acknowledged my concerns and praised me for knowing I need them and my willingness to try them. I know it sounds cliché, because it’s a drs office, but it felt like it was a healing environment and he wants to help me get back to my “normal” life. He’s positive on the new course yet has a solid backpack plan. I just feel like even if this first round of treatment fails I’m okay because he’s so positive. A weeks ago that would have scared me to think of a failed treatment but he was so knowledgeable after one meeting with him I have a lot of faith and hope that I will be okay. I’m so glad I switched to this office and I’m so glad that I was able to get on his schedule! He is wonderful!

Dr Goshgarian is very kind. Sometimes, as a patient, you can feel like a burden but Dr Goshgarian makes you feel like he’s glad to see you. He’s also very knowledgeable. I thankful he can do a block quickly that makes a difference in my quality of life. Dr Taylor is also been great to work with. I am thankful for them.

At first I thought I wasn’t being “heard” when speaking but maybe I was being too sensitive. The after visit clinic notes confirmed my suspicions. The notes are riddled with inaccuracies, and some statements have a very dismissive tone to them. I do not appreciate a provider who charts inaccuracies when gathering information from a patient. The way to fix this problem is to ACUALLY hear your patient, not just “listen”. Also, the concerns that patients come to you with are important to them, and even though you may see these issues over and over in your practice, they are in many cases, scary, life changing issues for them. It would be nice to be met with something other than a flat effect, lack of interest, and at times a judgemental tone. This experience was awful and left me feeling worse, mentally and physically. A helpful hint regarding post visit clinical notes, select your words and phrases carefully, your selections can have a profound effect on a patient’s mental health, patient provider relationship, and ultimately on a patient’s recovery.

Chase Wight was amazing. He took the time to listen to my husband and I and went through all of the former test results of my husbands and gave recommendations as what to do next. We will see him in 6 months.
