I feel fortunate to have Dr Dobson as my neurologist. After my appointment I felt I had a quality examination. Dr Dobson gave me some things to do to improve my mental health.

Dr. Dobson is one of my favorite doctors of all time. He doesn't rush through appointments, listens to me intently, never interrupts, and never lectures me about imperfect compliance. He is really easy to talk to, shows a lot of empathy, and has a great sense of humor. I quite enjoy my appointments with him. I also really appreciate that he has empowered me to be more flexible with my treatments at home, so I can be responsive to what my body needs at any given time instead of following a prescribed regimen. I really don't have anything negative to say. I've already told several friends and family that if they ever need a neurologist, Dr. Dobson is the one to see.

I was dismissed and not listened to. Tried to write my issues off with little investigating or proof, even after several specialists have taken my issues seriously and pointed me to neurology. Provider was not very respectful or listening to my valid concerns, ignored things I said and quickly forgot them, and provided no real insight or followup.

I work in healthcare and I’m very medically literate, and I love that Dr. Dobson doesn’t dumb things down or talk to me like I’m not knowledgeable (especially since I’m chronically ill as well and very knowledgeable about my own health issues). Some doctors are really bothered when pts know anything, but he isn’t like that and it means a lot!
