Well, my wife and I really appreciated the kindness of the staff and the professional care your team showed us. I was their for a heart cath. From the very begining to the very end my experiance has very possitive. From the easy parking access to the precious lady that checked us in and gave me my arm band. She was proactive in hers tasks and made us feel welcome. What a beautiful view, from the check in lobby of the river. I can't think of a better way to calm down anxious feelings before having a heart procedure done. We even got to see some dolphins in the river as we waited, which I took as a good omen of things to come. The care teams were all very helpful, kind, and professional... and their were a lot of them. Precious nurse Mallory took great care of us. Her calm, reasuring demenor and kindness really put me at ease making me feel like I was in good hands for my care both before and after the procedure. The nurse that set up and administered my IV as great too. Before I knew it she was finished. Another nurse, I didn't see her name, was there for my recovery time also. She made me a, much welcomed, yummy sandwich. The nurse that brought to me to and from the cath lab and the cath lab team were also professional, encouraging and friendly as they went about their tasks. Everyone was very much on the ball from my perspective and showed great care for me as I was prepped for the procedure and as the procedure was performed. Even the ones in training. Doctor Patel was friendly, concise and professional in his demenor as well. This also made it really easy for me to feel relaxed and safe under his care... as he threaded tubing through my veins and into my HEART! The nurse anesthetist, the XRay machine nurse and the other prep team members were letting me know what was happening at every step giving me a since of peace enabling me to not worry about anything, requently checking back on me as they worked. The whole experiance was one of professional, compassionate care and encouragment. Look, I don't normally take time to do this...right reviews, but I'm truly impressed with your facility and your staff. I know what I'm talkig about. I have now had over twenty four invasive medical procedures in hospitals around the country and outside of the U.S.. I feel like I've experienced it all... From the worst, in a tented field hospital in South America under the care of an unsympathetic Columbian doctor who repeatedly told me I was too far gone to help and I was going to die, as he left me on a Morphin drip for 16 straight days while pumping me full of steroids just wating for my to give up. To multiple invasive surgeries and procedures on my back, knees, neck, groin, throat, sinuses, eyes and now to the best inpatient health care I've received to-date. After sharing all this, at your request, I hope I never need to return for a heart-related issue again. But if I ever do I will definitely be requesting your Baptist Heart Center for my care. I tip my hat to your Director and staff members on a job well done operating and maintaining this facility. In the near future I will be contacting you all about making arrangments to bringing down, from Kingsland, some of my award winning, simi-famous, and delicious, "Mike's Boiled Peanuts" from my wagon for you guys to enjoy as my thank you for the care I received at your facility.
