He has been my Doctor for many years. I am very sad that he is retiring. It will be very hard to replace him.

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
Dr Ockenfels has been our family doctor for over 30 years. He delivered our third son and he has been our doctor since then. He has fixed broken bones and sewed plenty of stitches for my sons and me. He has literally saved my life. I would recommend him to anyone but he has announced his retirement. Our family will miss him

Dr. Ockenfels is the best and I’m really sad he is retiring. No one knows me like he does and I don’t want to start over with someone and have to get them to understand me and that I know what my body does and what meds I need and work!

Doctor Ockenfels has been my primary care doctor for many years, he cares, he explains, and he has brought my husband and I through a lot of really bad health issues, my husband has since passed away, but Doctor Ockenfels continues to take very good care of me, and stays on top of all my medical problems. I’m [AGE] years old, and in all that time Doctor Ockenfels has been the best doctor that I have ever had, he has all my faith and respect.

I think Sara is the most thorough PCP/NP I have ever had in my life! She talks everything through with me in a way that is easy for me to follow and understand. I would always recommend her to anyone.

He is a good doctor, knows a lot of natural remedies and knows the healthy food benefits as well as food that cause inflammation. He is willing to work with his patients who have multiple drug sensitivities too. The only thing is he doesn't provide referrals to specialists and doesn't seem to have information available from the specialists that I have seen.

I have the greatest respect for Sarah. She always has the right answers. She seeks what I need. I’ve had a rough time the last couple of years and she’s been able to help me and make sure my medical issues are settled and taken care of. I’m deeply grateful for Sarah she is top-notch.

Sarah is very professional and courteous. She always listens to my concerns, answers my questions, and always takes me seriously. I’ve never had an issue with any of the staff at Riverside Medical. They are the best.

I have spoken highly of Dr. Ockenfels in the over 30 years he has been my doctor, and I still feel he is a caring and conscientious practitioner. I am less satisfied with some of the impersonal feel, and often inaccurate information about my medical history that has been part of the standards imposed by the My Michigan Health System.

were in [CITY] on vacation for a week and I had forgotten an essential prescription. I texted Dr.Ockenfels on a Saturday and he got a one week prescription for my Baclofen (I have MS) to a pharmacy in [CITY].I was so grateful because without these pills, I would have had to fly home immediately or go to the hospital for the prescription. I am so grateful that he filled my prescription on a Saturday. He is the best!

Sarah is carrying on Dr TetzlaffTim characteristics of making me feel that, while in the room with me, I’m the only patient she has. I never feel as if she’s on a schedule or that I’m making her late for anything. She’s an excellent listener.

I think that Sara Hill NP is excellent and I have referred her to my friends and family. They all feel the same way about her. She is very knowledgeable and very professional. She is also very kind. When you are in her office you don’t feel rushed. She makes you feel very comfortable and gives you her undivided attention. She really cares - it is obvious by the complete care that she provides. I am happy to be one of her patients.
