John and his staff are phenomenal. They're just a little overwhelmed with patients because they do not have enough staff. I would give them more.

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
Dr. Ockenfels is extremely knowledgeable and remembers my medical history extremely well. He is thorough in his examination and questions. He listens and provides options for treatment. He is open to conventional and alternative therapy. Dr. Ockenfels is an incredible physician and I appreciate everything that he has done and continues to do in his care of me!

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
Dr. Ockenfels is an exceptionally kind and caring physician who truly goes above and beyond for their patients. Their compassionate approach and attentive nature create a comforting environment that makes all the difference in the care experience. We are lucky to have an amazing physician like him in our community.

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
They are impossible to get an appointment with if my children are ill, but on the odd and rare occurance I do get them in the care and attention to detail is amazing.

Dr. Ockenfels and his staff are extremely thorough and professional at all times. Their superlative patient care and bedside manner are second to none. I would highly recommend Dr. Ockenfels to anyone at any time.

Dr. Ockenfels is very knowledgeable very helpful and is an excellent listener, he makes you feel comfortable in whatever you talk about. If he doesn’t have an answer for a question, you ask, he will find it out promptly. He’s a very understanding and caring doctor.

Dr. Ockenfels has been our Doctor for 30 + years and at our appointments he always makes you feel like you & your health is the most important issue at the time . He is an excellent Dr. and very caring .

Dr. Ockenfels has been my physician for over 34 years, and the rapore we have could not have been better. He is always there for me. One of the best I have ever had.

He is truly amazing!!!! It’s his staff that is upsetting! I saw him two weeks ago and was told his nurse would call me with an MRI appointment. Still have not heard from his office!!!!!!!

He has me help make decisions about my health giving all the information. He really listens to me and is compassionate at all times.

He has been my family Dr since I moved and had a family for over 30 years in the EUP of MI.
We need more Drs to stay in the EUP like he has. My Michigan is very lucky to have the experience of these few drs that are left in this area.

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
Dr Ockenfels is amazing. He is such so caring, patient, and great doctor. His med student Rudy was amazing too. So great with my son. Both of them are great people. Mymichigan needs to give Rudy a job once he graduates. He will be great for the community and has an amazing teacher Dr Ockenfels.

He has always been wonderful with me and the rest of my family goes to him too, and we receive care and and he understands where we are and what we need to do. He is a great doctor.

Dr Ockenfels, Matt MA, and med student Rudy are such an amazing team. They are the best of the best. The dream team. They give such great care to my boys.

Hopefully the medical student that was with him will stay in the area Very thoughtful and understanding Dr Ockenfels can train staff now before they leave. Having a face to face with a Dr needs to still happen instead of pushing the video appointments for the future! Get some young Drs that want to stay I. The area!

It's impossible to get in, but on the slim chance you can he is amazing. On the rare occasion someone answers the phone or calls you back they are typically helpful

That he is a very good doctor, I feel fortunate to have him for a doctor because he has both a medical and a wholistic approach. I believe that we are body, mind and spirit and the whole picture needs to be addressed. I feel comfortable talking with Dr Ockenfels about my concerns.
