I was so impressed with the care I received from the staff at MD Anderson that I've decided to change my primary care from the Millennium health system to Baptist primary care as well as find a new dermatologist within the Baptist system to replace Beaches Dermatology, whom I ended up having to call myself to tell them to refer me to MD Anderson Baptist. Long story. I was most impressed with the Baptist patient portal and how quickly the PA's & RN's responded to my questions as my recovery from a scalp skin graft was tedious. At one point during my recovery little white maggots crawled from beneath the dressing. I sent a message via the portal and the response was to ask how quickly I could drive the half-hour trip for care. I was aware maggots only consume dead flesh and in times past were actually introduced to festering wounds for that purpose. They were more alarmed than I was. No big deal. This is Florida & we got bugs in spades. One laid an egg on my head while I wasn't looking.

The physcian, Dr. B Smith, was professional, thorough and reviewed all test results. He answered all my questions. Exceptional office mannerisms. The staff from reception to assistant were professional and courteous.

Amazing surgeon and her team. Completely candid about the risks and rewards of further surgery which made our decision (my wife was in the consult with me) both easy and reassuring. Dr Mayland’s “bedside manner” is as good as her surgery, which is (again) amazing.

I have never had better medical treatment and care than with Baptist M.D. Anderson in Jacksonville, especially with the doctors & staff in the Head & Neck department. I was diagnosed there in 2025 with a form of parotid/salivary gland cancer, and am being followed for that on a regular planned schedule. Not only have my doctors (Dr. [last name], who did my surgery and initial follow up & Dr. [last name], now that Dr. [last name] has gone to M.D. Anderson in Texas) been wonderful & very experienced, explaining everything and answering all my questions, but the PA's (especially Sarah Lotsey now) are incredible: also very experienced, available whenever I have a question through the portal, and extremely caring! I am SO thankful for all of this. Everyone has made this journey much less frightening. I know I am in very good hands, and I thank them all!

Sarah PA explained everything clearly and in a manner that could be understood. I wasn’t rushed, and she answered all my questions. Dr. Mayland was knowledgeable and also answered my questions, in a way I could understand. Highly recommend this practice. Whitney called and set up all my post op appointments along with my surgery date.

After several years of going through this process, I feel that MD Anderson always makes a great effort to show their professionalism. I feel the best medical help is being administered
