Dr. Heinrich flatly said she is ignoring my fever, even explaining to her & she said she would always ignore my fever. Also she was VERY rude & non-caring! To summarize: I had symptoms of appendicitis, but w/no fever they said it couldn't be, but next evening when I passed out & they couldn't revive me they did exploratory surgery, knowing my side had been hurting. They found a mess they had to clean up inside & in hospital longer for recovery and it was during all the temperature checks they SAW MY NORMAL TEMPERATURE IS 96.3 to 96.7 - ALWAYS! Then we found out the same with my Mother - Always in the 96 range!! My Mother had 5 kidney infections left untreated for they said she had no fever, but she DID HAVE A FEVER and she went into Sepsis, almost dying each time with consequences of temperature ignored: kidney infection ignored till Sepsis & at death's door resulting in hear attacks or strokes after Sepsis from kidney infection ignored fir they said, 'Well she didn't have a fever' or 'only a slight temp'. When my mother & I have a 98.6 temperature we have a 2 Degree temperature!! Yet Dr. Heinrich stated repeatedly to me that I do not have a temperature. I asked if she had a temperature if 100 would she say she has a 2 degree temperature& she said 'yes' and I said don't you see your normal is 98.6 so you say you have a temp at 100. I have a normal temp of 96.3-96.7 so when I have a temp of 98.6 then I have a 2 degree temperature. Yet Dr. Heinrich told me 'no you have no temperature if it's 98.6! & when I stated, so you're going to ignore my normal temp..& she said, 'I will always go by 98.6 for the base line; anything above 98.6 is a fever. rather a 100 temp is a fever! She then said she was walking out the door when 20 minutes was up so if this is all I want to talk about fir our visit then it would be the only thing address fir our office visit! I told her it is IMPORTANT ENOUGH BECAUSE I'VE BEEN RUNNING A FEVER & FEELING AWFUL. MY NORMAL TEMP IS 96.3 TO 96.7 & MY TEMP HAS BEEN 98.7, 98.6, 98.4 & I'VE HAD THE CHILLS, BEEN FREEZING. & FEELING AWFUL. I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH 'HYPOTHERMIA' BECAUSE MY NORMAL TEMPERATURE WAS 96.3 TO 96.7; YET DR. HEINRICH SAID I DO NOT HAVE A FEVER AT 98.6. The same will happen to me then as what happened to my Mother: temp ignored & pain & feeling sick ignored till infection causes something much worse, then worse things happened to her in being treated for the Sepsis!!! I need a doctor who will not ignore my normal temperature. In conclusion: I asked what my temp was last appointment& Dr. Heinrich said it was not put in. I know my temperature was 98.7. The forehead temp was 97.2, but I asked for my temp to be taken the normal way (mouth), for I felt I had a fever higher (I was freezing most of the time)& the mouth temp was 98.7 previous visit. It should have been put in, which was why I asked. I do not believe that Dr. Heinrich can responsibly ignore diagnosis of 'Hypothermia' and made by Evanston Hospital doctors. Diagnosed with 'Hypothermia' after seeing my normal temperature was in the 96 Range. Still Dr. Heinrich has stated that she will always not consider 98.6 degrees a temperature for peoples normal temperature she said is 98.6. This was stated 5 times at least. So, you see, I need a good & caring doctor that will not ignore the facts right in front of her. I already almost dyed when my appendix burst after the exam where they said they'd say it was my appendix, but I don't have a temperature; a 98.9 is nit really a temp. That night I passed out & they could not revive me so they did exploratory surgery then found in my recovery my normal temp a solid week was 96.3, a few times 96.7: 96.3 - 96.7 and it's no coincidence my Mother is the same way. When in the Nursing Home they ignored this & her Kidney infections or other went into Sepsis 5 different times, with the doctors telling us she was going to die. She had a heat attack & some strokes while getting strong antibiotics for the Sepsis & these were more debilitating causes of the worse pain & hardship this brought into her life. I do not want the same ignoring of my medical facts to cause me same problems; problems that would not have existed if paid attention to normal temp versus higher temperatures!!
