Apart from my annual medical exam, I wanted to consult about post covid fatigue syndrome that persists even after 12 weeks after infection. The infection itself lasted for only 4 days from June 4th to 8th, 2022.I brought my personal health log notes and read out my list of 10 specific symptoms associated with the post-covid ailments - none of which existed before the Covid infection. These symptoms are:1-Extreme fatigue (I need to stop all activities and lie down -initially after 30 minutes of activity In June - with longer periods in August)2-Shallow breathing / Shortness of breath3-Body Aches/Back ache (muscle pain - neuropathy)4-Mental fog - inability to focus and concentrate5-Mood change (sadness, irritability)6-Sinus congestion/Eye congestion7- Digestive issues8-NauseaEven though I repeated several times that these symptoms are post-Covid related, Kelli persisted in prescribing antidepressants - to treat one of the symptoms which she categorized as 'depression' ( I have never been clinically depressed in my whole 70 years on earth). She also prescribed habitual ways to deal with a couple of other symptoms: PT for back ache, and sinus rinse for congestion. (I really do not need to consult an 'expert' to arrive at these solutions on my own). Kelli's advice lacks a holistic approach to healthcare. I am particularly concerned that in prescribing antidepressants for a temporary condition, she could potentially unbalance my health. I have to say that she was very insistent on this matter and she failed to listen to my needs and concerns as a patient. I tried to explain that having practiced preventive healthcare (Homeopathy, Yoga, Meditation, Acupuncture, fresh, organic foodstuffs, etc) I try to avoid allopathic medication when other resources exist. Having done so accounts for my excellent health at 70 yrs. old.If I am to keep Kelli as a main healthcare provider, she needs to respect my operational mode (as the rest of my selected Northwestern care providers: Neurology, Cardiology, Gynecology, Dermatology, Endocrinology...It's all about establishing a relationship based on a 'conversation' and on 'deep listening'. I feel that I was unable to establish one with Kelli H. during my visit on August 18th, and I wonder if she is a good fit for me.
