I had an 8 AM appointment for an MRI. They open at 8 AM. I arrived 15 min early. I waited until 8:25 before I was called back for the MRI. The MRI was done without any difficulty and I got the results the next day.

I was doing MRIs (brain, C spine, and T spine) , w and w/o contrast. The check in process was smooth and efficient. However, the lady who attempted to place my IV… her hands were shaking as if she has Parkinson’s. She was very polite, but the way her hands were shaking is unacceptable! She searched both arms and both hands, and found a (a fav IV spot) in my right hand. Her tremors were horrible. The one she did in my hand was working until her shaking hands lost it. Finally she went to get someone else, but they were ready for me in the MRI room, and when I got to the room they said they’d use a butterfly needle in the MRI (which is always what’s used of me). Over the phone I was told that all of the MRIs would be done in about less than an hour. I was in that machine for 1hr 15mins. And they only got half the study done bc they couldn’t place the IV. 5 people examined my arms and hands, of which 3 thought they’d found something but they didn’t. Please hire a professional phlebotomist with steady hands and teach your staff the correct amount of time each MRI takes!

I had requested open MRI, but ended up in the tube. I had driven from Cambridge to Annapolis because they offered open MRI. The technician assured me only half of my head would be in the tube. That was not true because my head was completely enclosed in the tube. I am claustrophobic and would never return to Chesapeake Imaging because of the ordeal that I experienced. A one star rating is being generous.

I was very impressed with my first visit to Chesapeake Medical Imaging‘s Towson location. The appointment process was very smooth and I was able to find a convenient time to come in. The exam itself went very well and I enjoyed listening to music while the machine hummed away. Overall it was great experience .

My experience was very positive. I was able to be seen on the same day I called for an appointment and had less than a 5 minute wait from when I entered the office to when I was taken in. The pre-registration process was quite fast and businesslike. Each staff member was efficient and pleasant. Good equipment and environment.
