i was happy to have been referred to dr cohen as he was very patient with me, explained his diagnosis and very professional. i am an 86 yr old retired RN, former EY hospital consultant & found his staff very through & professional.

I have been seeing Dr. Cohen for long term
Monitoring of my retina health. The level of his care has been phenomenal . He saved my vision. He is not only brilliant in his field but kind, empathetic , patient, thorough and clear in explanations. The office is clean, staff welcoming and very well organized. Wait times minimal, and techs are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, state of the art equipment. I highly recommend Dr. Cohen to anyone needing expert, trustworthy retinal care. Five stars all around.

Outstanding. Dr, Crane fully explained what all would take place. The operation went smoothly, followed by a post-surgical visit the same day which made sure everything was in good order. Highly recommend.

Dr. Vakharia is wonderful!! She explains things so clearly, and I always know what to expect. I always feel confident in her judgement. She is very caring, even when the news isn't so great. The office staff are ALL fantastic too. They make things move super smooth! Kudos to all of you!

Dr Cohen is amazing doctor. My husband had surgery for detached retina. Dr Cohen saved his eyesight. I recently had an issue with floaters and flashes of light on my left eye. I wasn’t sure if I was experiencing a detached retina. I called the first thing in the morning to see if I could get an appointment as soon as possible and I was able to get in to see him that day. What a relief after all the testing they did, I didn’t have a major issue. I would highly recommend Dr Cohen and the entire practice is awesome.

I cannot say enough about the way Dr Cohen cares for the eyes. He is remarkably attentive, kind, knowledgeable and if you’re looking for a fantastic retinal specialist, look no further. I recently had a vitrectomy on my right eye and I am over the moon pleased with the results. The eye now sees as though it was brand new. trust him completely with my eyes. My eyes love him.

Priya S. Vakharia, MD is a wonderful physician and runs a great practice. I see her at the Tampa Road office. Dr. V is personable, professional, innovative, caring, and treats people with respect. Her staff follows her direction. Efficient and friendly - understand the paperwork too! Pre-authorizations are handled with ease. With a previous practice I spent 2-3 hours and always had insurance issues. With Retina Vitreous Associates appointments are 30-45 minutes or less and no insurance issues.

I had been with my previous ophthalmologist for 22 years, so finding a new one and going to a first appointment gave me a LOT of apprehension. I’m very happy to say that those feelings were very quickly eased as I went through the appointment and conversed with the staff and doctor. They thoroughly exceeded my hopes and expectations and I’m SO relieved to find them. Not only were they knowledgeable and professional, but I really liked the way Dr. Cohen thoroughly explained things to me and showed me pictures of my retinas, while explaining how to interpret those pictures. I feel very safe in their care and to me that’s everything. Since you’re probably reading this because you’re looking for an ophthalmologist, I would like to warn you off a group called Robson. They are a nightmare of medial administrative incompetence and the reason that I’m now with Dr. Cohen.

I have a complicated history of retinal detachment with macula off requiring multiple surgeries. After 1 year at another practice, I presented for a 2cnd opinion and transferred my care. Dr. Cohen is truly an expert in his field. He has patience in providing a thorough explanation of diagnoses, options and plan of care. I have the utmost of confidence in his knowledge and care!
