I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with my oncology doctor. He has excellent bedside manner and always makes me feel comfortable, heard, and respected. His knowledge and expertise are outstanding, and he takes the time to explain things clearly and answer all of my questions.

Dr. Robinson takes her time with me and explains everything so I can understand it. I do virtual with her and I would rather see her in person, but I am ok with virtual, for now. I am very happy with her as my doctor.

Dr Malek is very organized and detailed about walking us through the complex treatment process we are receiving and explains the response and the treatment options that we have available. He very gently explains the undesirable side effects and how he can proceed with the treatment. Even though we have been unable to continue with optimal treatment options, he doesn’t give us false hope, but a definite treatment plan to follow and an evaluation plan to ensure that we have all the information we need to proceed with, or to suspend treatment. We are very grateful to him for this.

Over all experience is positive and reassuring. I can’t imagine being a cancer doctor and having to walk in the room of each patient with a smile on your face every time. She’s very strong and knowledgeable. As a patient, I have to trust and believe she has my best interest in mind. I have no reservations about a referral.

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
At my first (in-person) visit with Dr. Palla, he was very informative and friendly. However, upon seeing the social worker, I was informed that he was only in person every other week. (I did not appreciate not knowing that information up front.). Nonetheless, we decided to stay with Dr. Palla based on that first in-person visit. I have only had 4 appointments with Dr. Palla and unfortunately, only 2 of them have been in person. The other two have been virtual. As his patient, that is not what we agreed to or what I was told in the beginning. Since then, I heard that he might be leaving MyMichigan. Upon asking his office, the office staff confirmed that he would be leaving in September. I’m not happy with the level of communication about Dr. Palla’s in office presence. For these reasons, I would be hesitant to recommend Dr. Palla or MyMichigan oncology to family and friends.

This is my first appt. with Dr. Malek. I felt so much better after talking to him. He was very informative kind and explained everything to my understanding. My Mid Michigan Oncology is truly a great Oncology Hospital. I had great care there. Thank You
