I am happy to discuss this further, but in short I felt talked over, powerless, and not listened to my entire appointment. And then the interpretation of what happened in the notes was consequently in accurate.

I did not feel he was caring as a physician...was unapologetic even though he should have realized that I was waiting for such a lengthy time past my appointment to consult with him. He did not clarify who the person/female accompanying him was and why she was there. Patients usually should be 'asked' if a resident accompanying them can walk into patient's exam room and that did not occur here. Dr. Patel mostly felt he was there to give me the 'go ahead' to see one of my previous consulted ENT specialist ( not in the NM system) which should not have been the case. He should have spoken to me as a prospective patient and explain his procedure and recovery etc. which he did not.

Dr, Lin was very good, very informative to the point of encyclopedic. I imagine he is a very good professor. My impression from our visit is that he spends little time in the clinic, especially at CDH which would be my primary visit location. However, he said his team would be available. I've been there and done that with Northwestern Medicine. The doctors seem to identify with their own celebrity more than being patient centric.
