Doctor seems great! But I scheduled this appt in October, and when I had a pretty important conflict my only choice was this appointment or one in April. Seriously. That’s insane.

His disposition was not well. He did not explain things to me or really tell me what was going on with my health. He was short in conversation and not very personable. Did not appear to really care about my issues and did little to help.

The statement from the Dr. “Be Happy To Be Alive” hurt me.• When I asked about what I can do to regain my taste, smell, orientation skills, short-term & long-term memory, he told me “Be Happy To Be Alive.” He informed me that every TBI, brain injury is different and heals differently even if they are of the same type and he cannot recommend any therapies or treatments. I do not need to take the tests, MRI or CT for a while, but I should see him in 1-year. • When he asked me for the type of therapies that I currently do – he replied to my therapy information with his suggestion: just continue with acupuncture and other therapies as I have been doing. • I wanted to share with him my thought, just thought that it might be considered inappropriate:Let us assume you own a sports car that drives max. 40 miles/hour. You bring it for maintenance to your garage. When you pick your car up after you paid for their services, its maximum speed is still 40 miles/hour. You return to the garage and remind them that you brought your car for maintenance and repair. But nothing appeared to have improved when you picked it up and after their job was done. Their reply “The tires are rolling, the vehicle is moving, so everything is okay.”• The answer is equivalent to my question what I kind of therapy or treatment I need to regain my taste, smell, orientation skills, short-term & long-term memory his “you are okay the way you are” and “Be Happy To Be Alive”.
