He was thoughtful and seemed thorough. Was rushed at the end but I think Northwestern has unrealistic expectations of how fast Drs should work.

The receptionist (who should learn how to smile and welcome patients instead of sporting an unfriendly look) and the nurse spoke to more than the doctor himself. He didnt seem very interested after he learned that I was already seeing another gastroenterologist in another group and was seeing him for a second opinion. He didnt care to find out any details about my health issues and simply rushed me out after I showed him a report from a year ago that showed thyroid nodules. My throat issues could have been GERD related. He did no physical exam. Told me to see an endocrinologist and walked me out of his office in less than 10 mins. So all I got from the visit was an unsatisfactory experience and a face mask for $40 (my copay). Doctors should come across as caring and curious when they see a patient who comes to see them with hope and optimism. I felt like a fool for seeing this particular doctor. He did tell me to see him in a couple of years if I wanted an endoscopy.

He was the only doctor who read the piece of paper that I gave him containing my meds and ailments. And questioned me about my anxiety and how it effects me.
