What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
When you really need answers about your health issues and your unsure who you can trust and build a dr./patient relationship with. Then Dr. Hitzelberger is the one to go to for help and answers. From arthritis, osteoporosis, joint pain, kidney issues, or just a zeal for life. He’s helped me through all of the above things. A true meaning of what a Dr. should be like. Straight forward and compassionate.

One of the most knowledgeable drs I ever dealt with. He figured out my biopsy and pathology gave a false positive and retested at U of M given a negative thereby confirming I did not need herceptin and chemotherapy which was originally prescribed. I will be forever grateful to him

Very good doctor. If you don’t understand, he will explain it to you so that you can understand. Always answers questions I have. The staff is wonderful.

The office and front desk staff along with the staff doing the blood work are all very friendly and helpful and kind. A pleasure to visit their offices.

I have been under Dr. Hitzelberger's care for about 2-2 1/2 years and my condition has been brought under control and is now being maintained through his continued oversight and guidance. He and his office staff have always been excellent in providing their care and service.

I always recommend alpena cancer center to any one I talk to going through cancer! Staff is excellent, very friendly and compassionate.it helps a lot when your going through ruff times to have caring caregivers.They helped me get through it
