What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?

Dr is wonderful but surgery scheduling staff not so much. Dr akbaar states I need a knee replacement and to see the scheduling lady. She was not at her office so the front seat lady was going to have her call me. I have left four voicemails and called a total of 6 times in two days and cannot get a return call. Therefore I cannot schedule surgery. I guess I will find a new Dr that the scheduling staff actually answers.

Dr Akbar is compassionate and caring. After all the issues I have had since having my total knee replacement he continues to help in any way that he can.

Very knowledgeable provider. He listened to my concerns and addressed them. Excellent staff. My only complaint is the automated system. I had an appointment at 8am. I received several notifications to make sure that I arrived 15 mins early (7:45a). The office doesn't open until 8. Actually arrived at 7:40 and had to spend 20 mins waiting. The notifications should've adjusted the arrival time considering they don't open until 8 or maybe have appointments start at 8:15.

Always the most professional and friendly provider. Have had both knees replaced 10 years ago with absolutely no problems. They are always available if I should have to contact them!!

To seek another doctor. The staff does not work together to see what a patient needs, does not reach back to the patient, does not return phone calls, no professionalism, lacks empathy, [redacted potentially libelous portion] and works harder at making excuses rather than finding answers,solutions.

I love Dr Akbar but I have trying to get a refill for almost two weeks. Three phone calls plus pharmacy and insurance nurse have tried to contact them to get my refill. My last one is expired. No call back no prescription called in.

Dr. Akbar is an excellent professional, knowledgeable and caring physician!! Was totally vested in my complete care before and after surgery!! I will never forget his kindness in the hospital as he held my hand when I told him of my high pain level and he assured me that it would get better as I continued my current medication…and it eventually did. I felt seen and heard by him and felt he understood and didn’t just brush me off! He’s a very skilled and caring doctor. Would HIGHLY recommend him and his staff!!!
