I wanted to take a moment to recognize one of your staff members who made a lasting impression on me. Although I unfortunately do not remember his name, he was a technician who provided exceptional care during my stay. He did both of my EKGs and started my IV.
From the moment he assisted me, he was incredibly kind, respectful, and reassuring. He took the time to make sure I felt safe and comfortable, which truly meant so much during a stressful time. His calm demeanor and professionalism stood out, and it made a big difference in my overall experience.
I hope this message can be shared with him, as he truly deserves recognition for the compassion and care he provides to patients. Thank you for having such dedicated staff.

I am so impressed with this emergency room and Renown hospitals. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly, kind, professional and helpful. I have never been treated so well at a hospital before Renown. All of the staff were compassionate and concerned about my well-being. I would highly reccomend this emergency room to anyone.

I’ve been in healthcare for 25 years and Ashley W. The ER nurse who cared for me, was so kind with her wonderful bedside manner and care. She was not only kind to me, but also to my husband and daughter who accompanied me. Dr. Faiss Was great and treated my symptoms and concerns with sincereness. Your kindness, professionalism, and compassion didn’t go unnoticed and made all the difference in my experience. I’m so grateful to have had such an amazing doctor and nurse looking out for me.

From the paramedic team of the ambulance to the care providers at the ER exam room, everyone was most caring and reassuring; the tending nurse Ashley was a hardest worker to give the best service to the patient in every ways, and the doctor on call, Dr. Faiss was very knowledgeable and attentive and he even extended his concerns to the patient’s family member, that was most comforting touching. Indeed the ER at Renown’s South Meadow is a very trustworthy and humane place for the people who had needed the urgent cares and treatments ! A pride of Reno !

After a horrible experience at Carson Tahoe in Reno I will only go to Renown Emergency. I have always had the best experiences with Renown.

Gage did a great job bandaging me up after road rash accident. He was very skilled and informative. I could understand everything he said, and he was painless.

Everyone was very kind, compassionate, and thoroughly competent. The nurse who placed the IV port was so great I didn’t even have a bruise at the sight.

Nurses, doctors, and CNAs were wonderful. They were very attentive. They answered the buzzer when we needed nurse and care. Everything was wonderful.

Very through, very courteous. It was very busy. When I was leaving the entire lobby area was standing room only. I was lucky to be there early.
The test provided gave me piece of mind that the worst outcome was a negative.
Still not sure what caused my issue but will see my provider in early April for a follow up.
Renown is our go to place for ALL medical.

I would like to say that Renown South Meadows Emergency Room was very timely with the waits. I didn't have to wait long and everyone was really thorough at when I would be next and when my room would be available. Everybody was super kind and it was just a really great experience given the circumstances. So thank you.

Got in quickly, doctor immediately explained the concerns and what tests they needed to rule them out. Tech came in and drew blood and imaging staff arrived shortly after, explained the process and the contrast they wanted to use. Asked if I approved which I did. Was told reading results would take about an hour. I got MyChart notification with my blood work and CT results within about 35 minutes. Doctor came in and explained my issue, the treatment plan, and follow up time line. Across the board exceptional service well organized.

After hearing nothing but trash talk about Renown for years to say it is a pleasure to be able to share my personal experience with others is an understatement. Without exception, everyone I met was professional & respectful, some even concerned I was being taken care of. This was my first need of care in many years, thank you for being there.

Dr. Hill was probably the most professional, courteous and informative physician I’ve interacted with my whole life. He made a scary time easier.
Micah, my nurse was also attentive and very kind. Dr. Hill also listened to me and heard what I was saying.

I was most impressed by Scott the ultra-sound technician. Scott took my concern about a pending surgery and my request for a complete test seriously. He did a very thorough exam and went above and beyond.

The staff was able to see me in a timely manner. Everyone was very respectful and they did everything in their power to get me in and out while ensuring I knew all the next steps and understood all information needed regarding my injury. We were visiting from out of state to ski for a month in Mammoth when My Husband had an unfortunate ski accident. After six days in the Mammoth hospital,We came to Reno to get him to lower elevation to heal. The day after we got to Reno, he went into pain crisis and we had to bring him to your ER.
Dr. Suzanne Larson was our ER doctor. She immediately put us at ease after a harrowing week of illness. She really took the time to listen and understand. She showed deep compassion and we trusted her completely. When we were discharged, we both felt informed, and confident in moving forward with his recovery process. This was the best ER experience we have ever had, not that that is something we would like to repeat. Every single person we encountered was exemplary. Thank you!!!!!??

Yeah, I was taken by ambulance after having a fainting episode and I only spent three hours in the ER and they did a CAT scan and an MRI, not an MRI, they did x-rays and I got feedback really quickly and I was only in there for a total of about three hours and they let me go home. They were very efficient and kept me informed with everything that was going on. I was very pleased.

I came to the ER, failing to get enough oxygen, pretty stressful. I got immediate attention. The staff, from reception to the MD, listened to me, were kind and very competent and, in the end, with my condition improved and stabilized, got me home. My condition, since then, has continued to improve and I’m back to my morning hikes in the forest, with my dog.
It’s difficult to say enough good things for the staff and the South Meadows ER facility, I am truly grateful for their presence in our community.
