ED SMMC
Nice staff. But long stretches of time before tests. Particularly the CT scan.

The only negative was after being released, I was ambulatory but shaky. There is no obvious place to sit while waiting for my husband to get the car. I wasn't steady enough to walk to the parking lot. There is no place to sit outside or in the vestibule of the ER. The wheel chairs are locked, but being small, I was able to wiggle into one to wait. No real problem, but think I've commented on this before. If there is just a patient and a driver ( and you are both elderly) it is a bit difficult.

I was really, really happy that how little time I had to spend there when she seen what was going on with my pacemaker situation. You guys got me in really quick and you guys are very professional. Appreciate you.

Staff worked very well together. Dr. stayed after shift done to go over lab and Radiology reports.

I've recently been to ERs in California, Utah, Wyoming, Sparks and now Reno. This was by far the finest experience of all. Kindness, professionalism and expedience stood out.

When I was put back into the ER area, I was placed in the hallway and that was for the whole visit that I had. So I wasn't crazy about that, but there's always room for improvement. My doctor was fantastic and the staff was pretty good too, but I did not like being in the hallway back there. So anyway, if you could improve that, that would be wonderful. Okay, thank you. That's all.

You did a fantastic job. I must say everybody was wonderful, very diligent, very lovely, very nice, absolutely wonderful. I have never been to an emergency room and this was, it was just a nice experience, even though I went there for a problem. But I trusted everyone implicitly. So thank you so very much. I appreciate it. Please keep it up. It's wonderful.

Dr. Taylor was very amazing. He listened, he had an excellent bedside manner, so did the male nurse, and I'm sorry I don't know his name. Very kind, explained, you know, what any delays were. And when I first got there, the two individuals that took me in the room to do the EKG, they were absolutely wonderful and kind and sweet. And I don't go to emergency rooms often, nor do I ever want to, but yes, I have recommended after this visit that I had to definitely recommend South Meadows. So I hope you can thank that entire team. I can't think of one bad experience that I had. So thanks so much. And Dr. Taylor is amazing because he actually finally figured out what was going on that the doctors and my cardiologists

I was taken in right away and treated with so much care. Dr and nurses listened to me and were very caring and concerned over my health and making me comfortable and feeling better.

I received excellent service. All the staff members are kind and helpful. I received the best care and treatment and also with their direction, l was able to schedule my other appointments quickly. I highly trust ER Renown South Meadows and recommend to everyone.

I arrived at the ER in extreme pain!
They rushed me right in and started figuring out what was wrong!
From the receptionist, medical aides, nurses, and the doctors, they were very professional and well mannered!

Dr. Talbott is the best physician I’ve ever met. He was professional and treated me with respect. It was obvious he cared which has not been the case in previous ER visits. Unfortunately I did not take his recommendation on being admitted to the hospital. It was a mistake on my part. I’ve just been overwhelmed with everything I’ve been through since the accident last October.

It was amazing how quickly I was taken care of as they recognized the “emergency “ of a head injury. Within 15 minutes of my arrival I was in the CT Scan. Being on blood thinners elevated the emergency too. The Dr said I was incredibly lucky as they found no bleeding in my brain. I am grateful that this kind of care is availably to me in South Reno! Thank you to the staff there for excellence of care!

The nurse that helped me was amazing! She was very knowledgeable, attentive and kind. I was surprised to have such a great experience in the ER. Everyone was great and the doctor was also fantastic!

Yes, Dr. Gould, who was my physician provider, and her entire team, from the folks that took me down to imaging, to the people that inserted an IV for contrast, to the nurses that attended to me while I was in the emergency room area, all were just extraordinarily kind, compassionate, and helpful. And I can't tell you how much I appreciated that because I was a little anxious about what was happening to me, and they helped allay my fears, and I felt like I got great advice and attention. Thank you so much for the care that you showed me.

On August 5 I was admitted to ER at 9:18 am & again at 5:10 with a gushing nosebleed. Doctors Paloolian & Mussehl
gave me Neosynephrine and Cyklokapron. Nurses were very helpful and professional and kind. But the RN who checked my vital signs prior to going to an exam room at 5pm was remarkable!
She understood that blood clots can built up and can drain blood to my stomach. She had me lean forward and blow my nose over a paper towel lined waste basket. Clots poured out and gave me so much relief. I used this relief at home during the night. This kind, confident RN had very short blond hair, but I did not get her name. Her idea made a huge difference in my nose healing.
