First time coming to Renown, we were referred for my Son to children's ER Dept and all I can say is "Best experience in healthcare facility".

He was a tall male doctor or nurse with long hair and a ponytail or bun. He was extremely polite, kind, and understanding, and he just, he was outstanding.

Brie, the emergency room nurse is hands-down the best. She is the sweetest nurse and truly listens to her patients and what is important to them. Even more important, she advocates for them. We have had her as our nurse a couple times and felt so fortunate. The doctor was also great.. he knew what was important to us too and did an amazing job and gave the best care (I wish I could remember his name but he had a ponytail)! Thank you to these two!

Intake staff were excellent. Im glad there was no wait. The only thing I wish would have happened was more detailed instructions for managing the wound because I didnt know the right questions to ask.

Auriel, our nurse, was incredible. She updated us with our care and was very kind. My 6 year old daughter talked about her the following day and said she was very kind and made her feel comfortable. Our doctor, I can’t recall his name but he was also so good at collaborating with us in our daughter’s care providing a detailed risks vs benefit about her care. Thank you renown. We will ALWAYS drive from Carson city to renown children’s for care no matter the wild Nevada weather. The only reason I deducted a few points was that there were random stains on the curtain that we used for privacy in the room. Didn’t want to touch it with bare hands. Otherwise, It was great.

Everyone was amazing! The reception the nurses and the dr’s my daughter broke both bones in her arm and was terrified, everyone was so attentive to help her feel more at ease.. I would highly recommend to anyone and will never go anywhere else

Nurse Charlie did a fantastic job with my son Jackson. Even though he could not remember anything, he was still very kind and helpful to my son, my daughter, and myself.

I had a very nice experience other than checking in. The lady would not calm down and listen to what we had to say about our guardian paperwork. She made me upset. I actually started tearing up about my granddaughter not getting care. So I was very unhappy with her, but the doctor was perfect. The nurse was perfect. The technicians were perfect. I would recommend it, but I did not accept what the reception did to us. You have a nice day. Bye.

The staff was great and treated us kindly. Thank you to the attending physician for the kind words to my son about stress and anxiety..helping him feel ok with his stress manifesting as physical pain. Very kind.

The level of care and attention that we received gave me such comfort as a parent and comfort to my child in a situation we never thought we would be in. Please continue this type of care and made the world of difference in a very scary situation.

Every one of the clinical staff from triage nurse, the 3 nurses we interacted with in the ED, the CT & x-ray techs and the MD were all incredibly supportive, kind, thoughtful & thorough. I can’t thank them enough!

The care team was great, my only complaint is the wait time. We waited 5 hours to be roomed with a 3 year old screaming on and off in the waiting room that her stomach hurt. It’s the longest wait time my family has experienced with Renown ERs.

Hello, we were very pleased with the service overall. In coming in, they were attentive and we had a very brief wait before we were taken to the ER room. And overall, they were able to answer our questions in a timely manner. We would most definitely recommend the ER to our friends and family.

I traveled from Carson City with my grandson and would definitely use Reno going forward. Carson Tahoe was a nightmare. He suffered for 10 days with an impaction, missed school and was in a great amount of pain! Carson Tahoe gave him an ibuprofen and told him come back if it gets worse.. that was after 4 hours of waiting. His doctor had sent him over, and called ahead. They did not do a clean out as they were told. I was in shock and very upset. My doctor called us back then it's morning and then go to renown immediately they have an emergency pediatric department. They will know what to do. And they did. I am so grateful to the emergency staff at renowns Pediatric emergency department. They were very attentive, very compassionate, and they made him feel so comfortable with the procedures they had to do. He was only 11 years old, and the type of stuff they had to do was very intrusive to his body and it could have left him with a little trauma. But he left smiling and feeling 100% better. Thank you Renown!!

I'd like to say that our ultrasound tech was amazing. She was very helpful. I never caught her name. She helped us do the ultrasound really fast, get what we needed, and then she helped us afterwards as well with changing a few blankets on the bed and whatnot. Yeah, we really enjoyed her.

Everyone was wonderful and helpful. I couldn’t believe how quickly they took us to a room. The care team was friendly and mindful of how my daughter was feeling. Dr. Albright and Dr. Gasson were especially great!

The experience was really wonderful. I felt heard and I felt a lot of empathy. It didn't ever feel like they were downplaying my son's injury. It was a very mild sprain and they never made me feel bad for bringing my son in. In fact, they made me feel very welcomed and they were so kind to my son, so I would absolutely come back. They were so dialed. Everything was very thorough and quick. Very much appreciated.

Had a great experience from the pediatrician to the nurses (Jamie & her partner) and the Child Life (Jen). Everyone has been so caring, knowledgeable and professional! Kudos to Dr. West for being thorough and finding the cause why our kiddo was acting out of his norm.

Our 17-year-old boy is autistic and is a big challenge getting medical treatment. The team at Renown did an on job with him and we couldn't be happier.

Renown is the only hospital I trust to take my children to. Every single time I have taken my children there in any situation, the staff has been professional, helpful, and educated, and given us the best care possible.

Yes, I had probably the best emergency room experience I've ever had with my son on the 23rd. The doctor and the nurses, especially one of the nurses, I'm not sure of her name, I think it was his main nurse, but they went above and beyond anything they had to do to make sure that my son had what he needed to go home. And they even reached out to the sheriff's department to make sure that my son got his eating, his bottle supplies and his eating supplies that he needed that was left at our home during fires. They were, one nurse, I'm not sure of her name, but she called the sheriff's department, her dispatch, and got somebody to go out to my house, contact me and then go out to my house.

Dr Gassen spent a good amount of time explaining things to myself and specifically my teenager. He really related to her. I'm super appreciative of him and as always the staff and all professionals at Renown. Thank you for everything ��

Our doctor was fantastic. Best experience we have ever had in an ER. She was quick, but thorough and extremely kind and explained the situation that both my son and I could understand. Would recommend her to everyone! From check in to discharge, everyone we interacted with was nice and understanding.

We are so grateful for the renown peds ER team. The whole process was very quick and we felt listened to and reassured of a care plan that was both conservative but addressed our needs appropriately. Dr. Shook was very caring and was sure to cover all the bases to prevent a possible reasmission. She was collaborative with us as well as the pharmacist and we felt well cared for.
Additionally, the text updates of where we were at in the process from admission to discharge was great!

Dr. Gassen was absolutely amazing. I wish all dr were as kind and patient as he was. I’ve had a few visits with my baby to the ER and he by far has been a dr that I would remember and hope to always get!
Colton out to who was kind and personable. He explained what was happening during the EKG, what it was for and walked us through the process for each step he took.
I could feel that both Dr. Gassen and Colton enjoyed their jobs and working the pediatrics floor!

Provider and nursing staff was incredible. We got misdiagnosed a few months ago at the urgent care, so this time we went straight to the childrens er and the provider was so understanding and validated our decision. The team was quick to get us roomed and seen, they made sure she was feeling better before discharge and sent us home to ensure she would keep improving. I appreciate the kindness and knowledge everyone showed us. It was a very pleasant experience.
