Mt meeting with Dr. Omar Mahmoud was incredible. Previously, I have meet with a Medical Oncologist at Baptist Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, a Medical Oncologist and Radiation Oncologist at Novant Health and Atrium (both in Charlotte, NC), a Urologist in Charlotte, NC, and of course Ackerman Cancer Center who has been caring for me for the past 5 years. No one has give me the overview of my options before like Dr. Mahmoud. No one has explained what I'm dealing with and why the recommendation makes sense like Dr. Mahmoud. No one had given me the clarity and hope that Dr. Mahmoud has. I am so glad I came to Babtist MD Anderson.

The Dr. seemed really in tune with my situation and was very caring and honest about options and potential outcomes. He explained the why behind his thought process and advised that the "mother ship" in Houston had been consulted with, too. I saw 7 different oncologists and the Dr. here at MD Anderson is the one I'm more comfortable with and will ride my cancer journey with.

From the first time I met with Dr Mahmoud until this week, his caring nature and unparalleled knowledge have been evident. Everyone understands cancer is scary. His patient nature in LISTENING to me and then explaining everything about my treatment plan and progress have been the best. I have found I can discuss other non-oncological medical concerns with him and he also knows about those and can explain things better than my other specialists! This man should be the face of Baptist / MD Anderson. Because of him and the entire Oncology team from techs to nurses to front desk folks to schedulers, you are deservedly the best in the business.
