What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
I had to have an emergency appendectomy. As soon as I was diagnosed, Dr Van Dorp and his PA saw me right away, explained the risks and benefits of the procedure and got me right into surgery. The post-op care from the PAs was amazing as well as my outpatient follow-up appointment. They listen to my concerns and answered all my questions, although most questions were answered before I even had to ask.

Dr Martin put me at ease on my first visit and explained things thoroughly- his staff followed up very promptly prior to and after my visit -I elected to have surgery in a month because I liked him

Dr Martin was exemplary as was his staff and surgical team. The care and attention I was awarded by this group was at least above if not beyond. As to Dr Martin, in reviewing my situation in his office, he was already developing contingency,s to what he may actually find once he had begun the procedure. He heard my concerns and considered them right up to when they released me. Professional and proficient. More than pleased with my experience with he and they.

Dr. Martin has wonderful bedside manners and a great personality. He was extremely knowledgeable of my future surgery situation. A shoutout to his nurse, Doug, who was very friendly and helpful. I am happy to refer friends and family to this great surgeon.

Dr. Martin was professional yet friendly and did a great job in the minor surgery needed. He not only got me in to evaluate my current issue but also followed up with quick remediation. I was diagnosed and operated on in one weeks time! Would definitely recommend as a surgeon.

This was my second surgery experience with Dr Martin and his staff before my surgery and after surgery I was informed of what to expect and all my questions were answered. I would recommend them to anybody.

I give him A++++ rating. Certainly, I consider Dr. MARTIN to be THE BEST doctor at the My Michigan Health facility. This report from one who has had 2 surgeries by him. You are lucky if you get him for your doctor!!!

1. I needed to have hernia surgery right away. He took the time to look through his schedule and fit me in early enough so that i could recover before my vacation. 2. I really appreciated that he was always prompt for my appointments. I was always called for my appointments on time. 3. He took the time to explain the procedure, down time and answered all of my questions. He made sure I understood everything.l 4. He's a really personable guy! 5. I would recommend him in a minute!

Dr Van Dorp and his staff were vey caring and professional. When I had a question it was handled quickly and knowledgeably I received an answer to my concern in a timely manner. I received excellent care from Dr Martin. He explained everything I needed to know going into surgery and what to look for or how I should be feeling following the surgery. The information he provided was very accurate for both the operation and I felt following the operation during my recovery time. I had a very positive experience with minimal pain and typical recovery time. I was very pleased.

I was sent to Dr. Martin for a surgery consult. I found Dr. Martin to be very informative - he laid out all of the info I needed to make an informed decision regarding my surgical options. I think he listened carefully to my concerns, and explained both the negative and positive aspects of my procedure. Great "bedside" manner!
