Dr. Mariam Mathai, M.D.

My wait time was about 15 20 minutes once I was escorted back to the waiting room from having my eyes dilated. Once I was taken back to a room, my wait time for Dr. Mathai was about 10 minutes. She immediately apologized for the delay due to an emergency. Overall,I thought my wait time was within reason. Dr. Mathai was very thorough and she explained each step of my appointment.

To be honest, my need to consult with her came a a complete shock as, until very recently, I had no problems with my eyesight. Her approach to my condition was considerate and empathic. She was very thorough and explained her findings and the implications in a straight forward and comprehensive manner. The need to immediately address my condition was direct and in language that to the layman,, easily understood. My condition has vastly improved since my consultation and the level of anxiety I felt before has been allayed because of the level of trust she instilled.

The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and flexible as I was late to my appointment. Dr. Mathai was able to do a thorough exam to follow up on a previous ocular concern. She also explained things in understandable terms. The office was clean, orderly, and calming.
