I love how I always feel completely‘taken care of’ as a patient there and the friendly staff. Everyone is also very professional but caring too. That’s why I drive 4.5 hours to go there!

Clerissa and the entire team are kind, caring, thorough, and supportive. Patients are given the most recent information to consider regarding lifestyle, diet/nutrition, exercise, and products to support and promote overall health. Early detection testing is scheduled as necessary and patient-concerns are thoroughly investigated.

I truly appreciate the longtime follow-up from MD Anderson’s Survivorship Program after my lumpectomy surgery and radiation treatment in 2019! I reached 5 + years with no new issues recently.
They supervise my yearly mammograms, personal breast exam, bone density, and Prolia injections. I receive CT scans as needed. I am covered by Medicare and my supplement. MD Anderson adds the personal touch of working with me to discuss how I am doing as I go forward. I usually meet with my counselor a couple of times a year. Everyone who works at MD Anderson is extremely kind, supporting, and professional. I am so grateful for this continued care!

Clerissa was very professional, "no-nonsense" and straight forward in determining whether I should continue my estrogen blocker med. She included me in that determination process. I was elated that it seems, when including all factors, some not applied directly to the test, that I am under 2% likely to develop another breast cancer event. For me, though I had an excellent outcome, her manner would have eased a less desirable outcome. Clerissa is a very positive asset to the MD Anderson medical community.

The willingness to answer questions and listen to my concerns. I have never experienced such an awesome medical team. I’ve been a patient of MDA since 2018, and I have never left an appointment feeling as though I’m a bother or rushed in & out. They’ve truly been the best, from the beginning of my journey to where I’m at now.

Since I am about to finish treatment for breast cancer and melanoma, I was thinking “where do I go from here?” I had been told about this program during my treatment but didn’t know what it involved. To my relief, I was told at my 1st appointment the continuation of being followed. Having bi-yearly appointments within the program, and should there be a problem, I know who to contact. It took a huge weight off my shoulders.
