Dr Katira is someone you can trust. She is very skilful and consistently professional and very kind. Her staff who do the exams are easy to understand, efficient and personable. The receptionists are well organized and pleasant in person and on the phone. It is a busy office- I see Dr. Katira on Fenton St., Silver Spring, but waiting is kept to a minimum.

Dr. Katira and I have worked together since 2012. I had to have emergency eye surgery and I entrusted myself to her care. She is a very experienced, talented and compassionate doctor. Top notch. I drive 1 1/2 hours one way to remain in her care twice a year.

Getting a needle in your eye is not fun. At all. Dr. Katira is truly the kindest, most empathetic doctor. She has worked with me to give me maximum numbing drops (now a gel, which works so much better for me), updates me in language I can understand on progress, and even switched meds when she thought it was not progressing as it should. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Katira. If you have to go through something as awful as this, you want her as your doctor!

Dr. Katira has treated my mother for nearly 10 years. She has successfully slowed her AMD allowing her to continue to have some vision into her late 90's. Dr. Katira has a wonderful bedside manner and truly cares for her patients.

Very well run practice, easy to schedule first-time appt, tech saw me right on time and Dr Katira came in ~1 hr later after all the pics were taken and eyes were dilated. She was very gracious & knowledgable. Exactly what I was looking for in an ophthalmologist with a specialty in macular degeneration.
