Getting a needle in your eye is not fun. At all. Dr. Katira is truly the kindest, most empathetic doctor. She has worked with me to give me maximum numbing drops (now a gel, which works so much better for me), updates me in language I can understand on progress, and even switched meds when she thought it was not progressing as it should. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Katira. If you have to go through something as awful as this, you want her as your doctor!

Dr. Katira has treated my mother for nearly 10 years. She has successfully slowed her AMD allowing her to continue to have some vision into her late 90's. Dr. Katira has a wonderful bedside manner and truly cares for her patients.

I really like her and find her patient and caring. She works in a busy office, which sometimes results in a bit of a wait, but I think she's worth it.

Very well run practice, easy to schedule first-time appt, tech saw me right on time and Dr Katira came in ~1 hr later after all the pics were taken and eyes were dilated. She was very gracious & knowledgable. Exactly what I was looking for in an ophthalmologist with a specialty in macular degeneration.

Excellent! She’s smart, able to explain complex neurological factors affecting your vision clearly and succinctly and explains the purpose of any tests that she orders.

I have been seeing Dr. Katira for three years and feel completely safe in her hands. She explained everything and gave me an eye exercise chart to read daily. Now, I have an assistant who calls and checks up on me monthly to ensure everything is going well.
