I have seen Brian for counseling for over a year… often when needed and less frequently when not. He always treated me comfortably, professionally, and respectfully listening well and asking questions appropriately. He was knowledgeable about my medications, but didn’t dwell on them. He had a generally very positive outlook, and when I had issues that could easily drag me down, he was able to frame the situations in a positive way and we set up more frequent office visits so that I felt supported while dealing with the challenges of life.

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
Since it was an intake visit, I have too little experience in order to make an evaluation. My experience with Brian was positive and trust-building. My expectations were met and I look forward to further meetings with Brian as a healing experiences.

BTW: I don’t think hand washing is “required” in a counseling office because physical touching is not a part of social work therapy. Brian has a nice clean appearance and probably washes his hands more than most trained food service employees. The desk surfaces always look clean. That seems good enough. I don’t think medication reviews are required at every therapist visit. I had one long-term controlled substance medication that my counselor always asked about to assure that I was taking by the dosage prescribed (or less.) He listens attentively when I discuss medications and asks appropriate questions when I’m thinking about changes or effectiveness and/or compounded or reactive symptoms of multiple meds. He and has suggested helpful supplement changes. His practical knowledge of medicinal impact on emotional and behavioral health is impressive but doesn’t dominate conversation.
