The two women at the front desk are very rude and disrespectful, and they will try to talk you out of getting services or just make you feel like garbage. Everyone else is great if you can make it past the two at the front.

He is always prepared for our virtual meetings. And always asks the appropriate questions, and always listens to my answers.

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
Sarah Rings is an excellent provider. She makes appropriate referral recommendations when needed and truly listens to my symptoms and takes the appropriate course of action. She also does an excellent job coordinating my care with Nancy Kotwicki, another therapist that works there who is also excellent. I have had nothing but great experiences with the care I receive there. The office ladies are also warm and friendly when I come in for appointments. They do a great job with scheduling.

She is very caring and compassionate. She always takes time explaining any questions and goes over medication’s and side effects.

Sara actually listens to what I have to say and accommodating with my aphasia issues. After a session with Sara I am left with a sense of peace and hope for a future change.

The whole team at the outpatient office is great. I came in for my first appointment at a very low point and felt welcomed and as comfortable as I could. 10/10 northern Michigan needs mental health services like these

I very much felt that I was being dismissed during my appointment. It became very clear that he did not read any of the paperwork I sent in beforehand based on the surface-level questions he asked me during the appointment, and the specific ones that I was asked were very intentionally answered on said paperwork beforehand, and felt like they should’ve been prior knowledge to him. I felt like I was not at all listened to, as he asked me a question about my schooling, and then two minutes later asked the exact same question, like he had not been listening to begin with. My allotted time was 1-2:30, and my appointment went from 1:03-1:14, so to me, this felt extremely unproductive and like my appointment was just something to get done quickly. I reviewed the after-appointment notes, and there was some information that was blatantly entered incorrectly. I was extremely disappointed in my psychiatric appointment and will not be rescheduling a follow-up. Thank you.

One of the women at the front desk is very rude every time. She has made me cry about 3 times. My family member was trying to set up services for themselves and she hung up on them after being rude and short-tempered.
