Ryan Hartman actively listens, takes time to answer questions and explains treatment options clearly and works with me on a treatment plan. He is a nice person to talk to. The front desk is always friendly and helpful.

My family knows I have been seeing Sarah for awhiles… and are very happy with her. As I am as well. If I have questions or concerns about anything , she has even replied back to messages, which is fantastic for me with memory issues, bc I tend to forget a lot🙌🏽She’s soo helpful 🌻

Sarah always greets me with a beautiful smile, and that always puts me in a place where I feel I can express my feelings. She’s a wonderful person in all the staff at the hospital. Treats me with respect. It’s a beautiful place to go. You need someone to talk to! I would definitely recommend Sarah for anyone that needs professional help!

Nancy is the bomb!! She is professional and knowledgeable about mental health including addiction recovery. Nancy has been great about helping meet my MH goals. She does an excellent job coordinating my care with my provider, Sarah Rings, who is also pretty bomb. Nancy makes me feel heard, validated, and advocates for me as well as for my care that I receive. She has also taught me a lot about some of the events in my life as well as how my thinking can impact my emotional state and overall MH. Sometimes she get me all up in my feels but I suppose I need that sometimes. She always assures I am emotionally regulated though before leaving her session which I appreciate so I’m not ugly crying all over da place. Nancy is ethical and has earned my trust which is a big deal for me. I highly recommend her but don’t be taking them afternoon spots because I need em lol. Jk. Nancy is great so is Behavioral health.

She and the staff are very knowledgeable and willing to work very hard to help me understand different avenues of communication and learning tools. She listens very well and has been a terrific teacher and professional with the ability to provide resources for me to understand and research at a moment’s notice.

I've only seen Sarah twice so far since Amy left there. I'm very Comfortable & feel Safe with her & never felt that with Dr. Parker or Amy. I recommend Sarah First, for mental health care in Alpena for sure...Thank you

Nancy is a phenomenal social worker and therapist. She is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, and this is demonstrated through my continued work with her. She has a gentle way of challenging me and empowering me to meet my goals. I wholeheartedly trust Nancy and the services she provides me with. She is warm, compassionate, understanding, thoughtful, and has developed my full trust in her ability to provide therapy to me. I am so grateful that I have her as a therapist.

Nancy is hands down the best therapist I have ever worked with. She is knowledgeable, skilled, and clinically competent. Her expertise is evident. Nancy is Warm, honest, compassionate, patient, trustworthy, and easy to talk to. I struggle opening up and sharing personal details about my life with anyone really. Typically, I have not stuck around in therapy long enough to really work through deeper underlying emotional issues. I have a tendency to ghost therapy when things get personal, uncomfortable, or emotional. Nancy has managed to work her magic, keeping me engaged and consistently showing up, even when it feels uncomfortable or difficult. She gently challenges me in a way that supports real progress without judgement. Since working with her, I have seen significant improvement with my mental health. The only thing I wish were different is that she had more availability, though this speaks to how excellent she is at her job. I have never not been able to see her when needed though.

We have established a reciprocated trust based on truthfulness. I listen to her, she listens to me as I respond to her questions. What is important to me is valued. She puts me in control of my choices always explaining her view of outcomes. I feel supported without condescension. I very much appreciate Sarah Rings. She’s very good at being appropriately human.
