DR. AMY IS THE BEST! KIND, CARING AND GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE HER PATIENTS FEEL LIKE THEY MATTER. ALONG WITH MY WIFE THAT COMES WITH ME. I WOULDN'T WANT ANY OTHER DR.

Amy Northrop has been amazing. She has helped me thoroughly with every problem that I have needed. I have not had any problems talking with her or figuring out my medications. She’s an amazing therapist.

The whole team at the outpatient office is great. I came in for my first appointment at a very low point and felt welcomed and as comfortable as I could. 10/10 northern Michigan needs mental health services like these

Dr Amy Northrup & all the staff at Behavorial health care outpatient in Alpena is the very best most professional group I've been lucky enough to provide my health care ever. I would rate Dr AMY & all the staff an 11 out of 10! Best of best!!!

Amy is a fantastic woman to work with, she’s knowledgeable on all medications and their equivalents. Unfortunately, Courtney, one of her nurses, has been and continues to be one of the least respectful, least helpful, and overall my least favorite part of the experience. As an example, last week I changed my medication, I was put on a trial dosage (7 Days), after that I decided to continue the medication. I called the following week and left a message that I would like to continue using the medication, but that I had a few questions regarding the cost ($80 for seven pills). I asked if there were any programs that may offset the cost a bit, or if there was a way to perhaps contact the manufacturer (As I have little experience in the healthcare industry). The next day Courtney called me to inform me that my prescription was filled. I then asked about my other questions to which she responded “Uhh we don’t have any programs for that. Try GoodRx? Or Google it?”. This con.but I’m out of roo

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
I would tell my family and friends that Dr. Northrop is an incredibly kind and understanding provider that has always done her absolute best for me. The care I have received from Dr. Northrop and other members of the behavioral health office has been pertinent to my healing and progress.

What would you tell family and friends about your experience with this provider?
Amy Northrup makes me feel comfortable with a home like setting instead of a cold professional office. Amy makes me feel completely confident to discuss anything with her, no judgment. only compassion and understanding. Sometimes redirecting my priorities without me even realizing it. Amy has tracked my medications and given suggestions for supplements. My physical well-being is just as important as my mental health to Amy. I have have been treated at other mental health centers. Which usually led to severe anxiety and failure to complete treatment. In closing I want to say for the first time in my life I don't feel lost and confused regarding my mental health. I feel confident and informed in a enjoyable environment. I look forward to my appointments with Amy to discuss what goals I've accomplished and where I need help achieving others. I started treatment with Behavioral health and Amy Northrup I was homeless, reckless and suicidal. I now have all my needs met and more.

It’s hard to meet someone and open up about such deep issues and Amy was wonderful at making me comfortable being a new person. I look forward to returning for the further help I need.

Very kind,caring and respectful to me and my wife. Trying hard to get counselor who can see Medicare patients, since my last one has been gone for over a year and half. So short staffed on a Medicare counselor. She helps in every way.
