I'm a combat veteran with PTSD. Medical environments are my primary trigger, which means I walk into most appointments already managing a physiological response before anyone's even called my name. I say that not for sympathy, but because it's the baseline against which I'm measuring what happened at this practice.
I arrived early for my first appointment. They took me back 15 minutes before my scheduled time, completed my vitals, and started my medical history before the clock even started. That's not how medical offices operate, but this one does.
Every person I encountered, from the receptionist to the medical assistant who walked me back and took my vitals, to the X-ray technologist, to Dr. Maher herself, was genuinely warm, calm, and respectful. Not scripted. Actually calm. That kind of consistency across an entire staff has to come from the top.
Dr. Maher wasn't rushed, and it showed. She ordered a comprehensive imaging workup across hands, feet, knees, hips, and lower back, along with a full diagnostic lab panel, and she walked me through every X-ray image personally, explaining what we were actually looking at rather than just telling me everything was fine. She matched my vocabulary, never dumbed things down, and clearly knows her field.
When I went to radiology, she asked if I was okay in a dark room, because she understood why that question mattered. She also offered a lab slip so I could leave after imaging rather than wait, understanding without being asked that waiting isn't a neutral experience for everyone.
I left that appointment having been heard, seen, and treated with genuine dignity. I've never been able to say that about a medical appointment before.

Dr. Ziglar is very friendly, efficient and thorough. She arranged for me to have my bone scan and office visit the same day at her office. I got my bone scan results from Dr. Ziglar during the office visit and we have a plan for how to proceed.

Dr Oshinsky was well prepared for my first appointment with him. He reviewed my DEXA results and answered all my questions. He advised me about a hand injury I had incurred and wrote a script for an X-ray.
