I was examined by both Dr. Maher and Taylor. They came prepared, examined me, had X-rays done during the visit, followed by interpretation and treatment plan. She is very personable, explains things well and took my concerns seriously. Highly recommend!

After 14 years of being under Dr. Emma DiIorio’s excellent care, she thankfully turned my well-being over to Dr. Maher. Although this was our first meeting after Dr. DiIorio’s departure, Dr. Maher had taken the time to familiarize herself with my medical history. All of her questions to me were on-point; her physical examination to determine my strength was complete; her suggestions on what I should be doing to minimize the effects of the myositis and how to proceed with my care were all very logical. I do feel extremely comfortable under Dr. Maher’s care…she is extremely intelligent, knowledgeable, kind and caring.

Dr. Maher is amazing! I call Dr. Maher and nurse Frankie the dream team. When I speak to my family members, they ask me, "Which doctor's appointment do you have today?" I respond, "I'm seeing the dream team today." They then know that I'm going to see my Rheumatologist, Dr. Maher. Always attentive, always investigating, always working to get to the bottom of my aches, pains, and many health issues. Dr. Maher is wonderful!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Maher for two years now, and my appreciation for her continues to grow with each visit. Dr. Maher is the definition of professionalism. She is detail-oriented, an exceptional listener, and shows genuine care and compassion for her patients. What stands out the most is her consistency… no matter how much time passes, her level of care and attention never wavers. That’s how I know she truly cares. Switching doctors is never easy, especially when you’re managing serious health issues and coming from a place of comfort with someone who’s been on your journey since day one. But with Dr. Maher, that transition felt seamless. Even during my very first appointment, it felt like she had been my doctor for years. She makes you feel at ease, respected, and truly seen—not just as a patient, but as a person. My last appointment was at the Frederick office, just because I had to switch my usual Tuesday appointment to a Monday. Dr. Maher’s Medical Assistant, Lauren, was great—thorough, friendly, and professional. The entire experience there was smooth and positive.
