Dr MacKen is THE best Epileptologist in Illinois. I've seen many and he was instrumental in finally getting a correct diagnosis after 20+ years with epilepsy. Also he wasn't afraid to say my case was unusual/he didn't know and seek answers. My only complaint was that I had to drive an hour and half to see him, but that's now a moot point with telehealth visits.
