I saw Dr. Derrick this past week for an annual Medicare physical exam. She reviewed all my vitals and recent lab results with me. She applauded my recent weight loss and asked me how I did it. Referring to results relating to diabetes, she was pleased to say I'm stable and we're doing the right thing. As to my elevated white cell count, she asked about causes of stress. As to the option to get a mammogram, she expressed support for my decision to forego this test on account of my age (80). She listened attentively to information about my role as caretaker (spouse with [condition]) and my preparation for a speaker role at my hometown school reunion in [city and state].

Dr derrick is my absolute favorite dr! She is so thorough, cares so much, and makes sure you understand everything she goes over. I recommend her to people where i live all the time, which is almost a 2hr drive one way. She is totally worth the drive.
