I saw her stop in the hall and explain the medication she had given a patient. She was kind and made him feel important. The patient obviously didn’t understand what she had explained to him in the exam room so when he checked out and received his summary seemingly he became confused so he returned to the exam room to get clarification. The nurse had been dismissive of him and told him to go take a seat that they were running an hour behind he would have to wait for someone to talk to him. I loved the way Dr. Kang handled that situation. If you are already an hour behind, does an extra two minutes she used to help the patient really matter?
