Looked at the clock multiple times. Seemed distracted and had a poor attitude. I was overjoyed I got a primary care doctor finally and she says to me that primary care doctors only do annual exams and vaccines, and everything else needs to go to my specialist. Meanwhile, I've spent the last six months being told by my specialists that I need a primary care doctor to manage my care because it's not their responsibility to be involved on a day-to-day basis. I’ve read NM’s principles and training on PCP and internal medicine services. She did not even remotely engage as she is supposed to.

Very good doctor, she explained my illness very well, she gave me instructions on what I should eat to get better, she explained my medicines, very professional and, most importantly, she speaks Spanish so we understand each other better.

Dr Fernandez was easy to talk to and I immediately felt comfortable with her. She listened and seemed genuine about wanting to give me the best care possible. She explained things to me in a way that was easy to understand.

Dr. Fernandez is not helpful. I have found my encounters with her to be short and cold.

I was debating giving feedback as i understand people have off days, but i was so disappointed. Dr. Didnt remember that I had seen her before, which is only concerning as she stated she looked at my chart before coming in. I understand things happen, but it was followed then with questions to me about when things took place (I didnt remember exact dates), while looking at my chart, very confusing instructions, and a question on if I typically got pap smears at my general appointments (which I have for the last 10 plus years). When I asked her about that she had to attempt twice to explain to me that because I was high risk they now will be with a specialist. I am totally fine with that, but it was alarming that someone would ask if I routinely got them done at my annual check ups when it has been that way for years. Very scattered when referring me on how another specific specialist would work, had to ask for clarification. Been with northwestern for over 10 years, had GREAT experiences and I was so disappointed with her overall attention and seemingly lack of care when it came to my medical history/simply my past visit. Did not explain to me why we wouldn't do a routine breast exam (I am sure its because of mammograms, but it would be great to know that). Had to remind her at the end of the appointment that I didn't feel well to ask about a minor cold I had. Don’t demand perfection at all but hands down worst experience I have had. Assuming it was an off day but figured the feedback was worth jotting down. Thank you,

DR.Fernandez is a wonderful she send the Referral for the new appointments,I the questions about the health problem,the staff are very friendly.

She was great, she listened to everything I had to tell her, she was very relaxed, took her time with me, etc. Overall, it was an awesome experience and I am so glad I chose her as my PCP.
